Some aspects of the room where not that clean, when we first arrived we had a small spillage of water when we moped up the towel/ welcome mat was black. Also the shower enclosure and screen was covered in scale and water marks throughout the stay never once cleaned properly

Music at bar. We were in villa 1, which was right by the bar. The music was loud from 8am through until 10pm. I think the music could have been quieter, especially if nobody at bar of pool.

The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in.

Great location, right on the beach. The staff were also really helpful and wonderful every time we spoke to them. I was a bit nervous about staying here because of so many negative reviews but I really do not understand why the hotel was rated so poorly. If those people want to experience the Four Seasons then why wouldn’t they stay there and pay the price of that type of resort? This was one of the best places we stayed in all of Thailand and it was great value for money.

Well... this resort is in fact much older than it looks at the pictures. We reserved a private villa with pool and it was worn down quite a bit. The pool was dirty when we arrived, and the pump was broken, although someone came to clean and fix it during the day. But the biggest issue was that the "luxury" villa we rented had no private toilet (!). Literary, there was no door or anything that separates the toilet from the rest of the bathroom, and the villa itself, as the bathroom also has no door! So this can be challenging even for most experienced couples to stay in this setup. Breakfast options are somewhat limited. The beach was much dirtier than we expected.

Outlook from bedroom and sitting area was rear walls of other villas. No garden outlook. WiFi not great. Broken steps on bridge to beach unstable. Area between bridge and beach covered in rubbish. Beach had an awful lot of rubbish. Breakfast overpriced. No sun loungers by pool. Large seats with cushions. Can't lay face down. Big annoyance, arrived early to check in, 1 hour later I asked how look for my room. Receptionist said she had better let housekeeping know that I was already here. A it late !!!! It then took hskg one hour to prepare the villa. However, they are pretty large. Power points are in some odd places. There are sun loungers by the villa pool but they hardly ever get sun, not annoying just pointing out. Another oddity. The pool bar often has music but the few people around the pool were wearing earbuds or headphones listening to their own music. Why not turn the bar music off ?

The villa with pool was excellent. Large living room, large bedroom with very large double bed and great pillows. Wi fi not great. Aircon good. Good towels for shower and pool. Plenty of hot water in shower and the really large hand basin. Shampoo and shower gel ok. Villa kept nice and clean by housekeeping. Saw a Komodo dragon swimming in the lake/river that boundaries the back of the resort (totally harmless and protected by Government). 7-11 3 mins away.

The only issue for me was the beach at the property isn't maintained and had lots of debris, a few minutes further up the beach and it was perfect.

The bungalow exceeded our expectations, the pool area and front desk employees were fantastic. The area was easy to walk to the beach and restaurant's , bars etc.

Private pool was dirty , I understand they can not stop leaves falling in but the deck area was not clean as should be.

Staff were excellent around the beach bar and restaurant areas , also they let me check in 2 hours early

Our pool was dirty and asked for it to be cleaned, and it wasn’t so stopped asking after asking twice. The villa next door was getting built so it was very noisy during the day, tools was left outside our patio so workers was always outside our door.

Aircon wasn’t great. Only time in Thailand I was very choked up. Would need a clean but apart form that 100% would stay again

The staff were the best we came across on our travels to Thailand. Very friendly, thoughtful and helpful, surprised us with birthday cake and decorated the bed with “happy birthday” at room was very nice gesture. Pool was lovely. Rooms were amazing. Fab night markets near by.

a bit sad to not have free water in the bedroom meanwhile in cheaper hotel it was unlimited. also the pool was not clean (many leaf and all) during our three days and we didn’t have the stuff to do it by our own.

The room and even the area of jacuzzi was not really clean, there was also a very bad smell in the bathroom.. The accommodation has a big potential but needs to be cleaned correctly and renovated as well

Zara has seen better days. I think a lot of maintenance was skipped because of covid and it shows. They are now trying to make things better but still have a ways to go. The beach has suffered a lot of erosion and is quite dirty. This is not Zara’s fault but it takes away from the whole experience.

The bed was 5 star, never sleept in a better bed in my whole life :) The pool was wonderfull, and a big plus to the young bartender in the poolbar who made wonderfull drinks :)

the parking spot is hard and beside that highly recommend for a couple. I am a biz solo traveller

the staff are very friendly and try to support you wherever you asking for. the location is also nice because is next to the beach. it’s not the best beach of Samui but surely the ocean breeze and the sun and sand makes someone happy ;) oh yes and the jacuzzi option in the pool next to the room, that’s also special feature.
