In such a competitive market the hosts stand above their competitors. They're a family run guest house and make you feel part of their family. So genuine and warm and cannot do enough for you. They have excellent knowledge of the area and beyond as some hotel chains do not and just give you a leaflet to follow. I cannot fault the hosts or their guesthouse as we truly enjoyed our time there and was made even more memorable by the beautiful couple who own it. Thank you and cannot wait to go back there 🙌

We had the budget room at the front, which was very noisy. The hosts try to advise people, but we missed the warning.

Very hospitable and friendly hosts; comfortable bed with best ever pillows; nice big bathroom towels. Wonderful breakfast in attractive room which also had an outdoor area. We particularly liked the pastries and the offer of Turkish coffee every morning (filter coffee also provided).

The guest house is just perfect: the location, the size of the room, good breakfast with plenty of choice... and above all the service provided by the staff. Also good advice to take the best out of the stay.

The location is perfect…walking distance to all the attractions, metro station, tram station and train station. Service was wonderful! Staffs and owners are so friendly and helpful! Breakfast was awesome! I enjoyed my Turkish coffee every morning! It was a very clean facility

We were asked to pay in cash and not credit card. But this seems to be the case for most hotels in Turkey, even in Antalya and Cappadocia. It was not a big deal, but if you are not carrying cash then it may be of some inconvenience.

Had a great experience here. It is a good price at a great location. Rooms were big and very comfortable. Breakfast was a nice spread and provided with the room. The view was very good too with a nice balcony for 1 room and the Bosforus view for the other room.

Breakfast was incredible - the Turkish coffee was an amazing touch. So many options, including home cooked pastries, eggs, toast, fruit, yoghurt... all served with generous hospitality and a great soundtrack!

No lifts to carry luggage up to 3rd floor, but it’s the same in most istanbul hotels

Very friendly and helpful staff, always there to help us with every request including booking taxi to airport in the morning. Location is excellent, just next to blue mosque and hagia sophia. The room is extremely clean and spacious too.

Nice place in a great location in the middle of the centre. Everything was clean, staff was welcoming. It was quiet outside at night, although I'm not sure if it's the same in summer. The terrace has a wonderful view of the city and is a great place to spend the evening.

We are very happy that we chose this Guest House. The owners are friendly and helpful. The Guest House is next to Ayasofya and Blue Mosque, the best places are in walking distance. The room was cosy and had a balcony with excellent view. If we came back to Istanbul we would definitely choose Grandma's House again!

Comfortable room and location. Nice breakfast. Great hosts) Room has everything for comfortable stay. Really grateful for water and coffe in the room. Beds are amazing, we fell asleep in seconds. There is a nice terrace upstairs and greatly decorated garden downstairs.
