Nothing, it was perfect as a base to explore Istanbul.

Great location, close to all the main sights in the old town. Staff were wonderful, the rooms were very niceand a delicious breakfast was included. Exceptional restaurants just down the street.

I would have given top marks but the bed was really rather lumpy.

We stayed for three weeks and the staff were wonderful the whole time. They were very helpful and understanding. The location is marvelous (be warned Istanbul is very hilly) and we had a wonderful view of the sea and the Sultan Ahmet mosque (Blue mosque) every morning at breakfast. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Our room was large and clean and the shower was good. We had a lovely view of the sea from our little balcony.

A big thank you to Omer and Nuri at reception for the warm welcome and making our stay pleasant. Always there for whatever we needed. The shower leak onto the bathroom floor. Had to mop it up after every shower. Other than that it was good.

The mattress was a little lumpy.

The location was wonderful with a view of the Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Mosque) and the Marmara sea every day at breakfast. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea. The shower was good.

Perhaps a Bar would be very welcome and maybe facilities for a snack bar so that the spectacular view from rooftop would be more enticing.

Omar on reception was amazingly helpful with any requests we had, from secretarial to dinner recommendations - all were brilliant. He also gave us an upgrade to one of the suites on the top floor - irrespective of this - the service from all staff was very friendly especially Omar’s offsider who’s name escapes me, was great.

Can’t think of!

Location is very nice to the tourist spots we want to visit. Breakfast is nice at the rooftop with nice view. The most amazing thing are the staff! They are very helpful in everything. My husband has limited mobility and he helped us find wheelchair for rent and carries it for us everytime we go out because there’s no ramp in the entrance. They are super friendly and helpful in arranging tour, and everything.

We stayed at the hotel during 28 April - 1 May. We are very happy with our choice. The rooms are spacious, bright and clean. The staff is very professional and all of them made us feel like we are in home. True and authentic hospitality. The location is very convenient, as it’s located very close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, as well there is public transport (T1) station near to the hotel. The food i good, with traditional Turkish yellow cheese and desserts. We recommend the hotel 100%.

Decor was a little tired but nothing to complain about.

Exceptionally well located hotel right in the heart of the Old City, and with a fantastic roof terrace to make the most of the views. Staff were excellent - all very friendly and helpful. Our room was a great size with everything we needed. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of options.

My mum could not see the amazing view the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia or the Bosphorous from the restaurant - there is no lift available.

The staff at the Ferman Hotel were absolutely wonderful especially Omer and Nuri. We took my elderly mother with us and they all made sure they gave her the best attention at all times. The staff were just amazing and they made my mum feel very special.

I wish I did not get the basement room as it was a bit claustrophobic.

The hotel was really clean and nice. The rooftop restaurant had the most wonderful setting and views. The breakfast spread was fantastic. The location being close to the blue mosque and hagia sophia and other attractions makes it very suitable

Normally you would say Location, Location, Location! but this hotel is much more than the location. Staff was outstanding, rooms were clean and big. The terrace view was amazing. Excellent breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea was cherry on the top. If this hotel is available when you are looking to stay, don't go anywhere else.

The hotel is in the best possible position in the town. The view from the terrace is amazing. We had breakfast every morning on the terrace and enjoyed the view. Our rooom was spacious and clean. Receptionists were very helpful with advices what to visit and explained us everything with detailed information. Aida
