I was hoping to do some walking around the area but as its quite isolated there wasn't many options. This isn't really a criticism of the hotel but be prepared to get taxis or bus if you want to go exploring. Hire cars were cheap from the airport for the week when we went, but in the end I'm glad we didn't as we may have felt obliged to use them rather than relax at the Layla.

We loved our stay in this hotel. We felt relaxed from the moment we got there. Being surrounded by palm trees and greenery gives it a very unique feel. The staff were very friendly and helpful - the mezze style breakfasts were great and the kitchen were happy to whip up anything else you might want. The menu was not huge but always well prepared and tasty and available any time of day. We stayed in the main house and had a large, tastefully decorated room with balcony overlooking the pool - and all of the newer bungalow rooms we were shown had the same quality. There are plenty of areas to relax around the pools with day beds, loungers and poolside bars. If you like wildlife there are a few friendly family pets - dogs, cats and an assortment of chickens to keep you company! A few minutes walk down a river takes you to a pebble beach in a large cove with views across the clear waters to surrounding islands. It was just warm enough to swim in April. Gocek town is a 5 minute taxi ride away with a good selection of bars and restaurants. We only did this a couple of times as we liked being at the hotel so much.

I liked everything apart from previous comments about food portion sizes.

The staff were wonderful, so polite and helpful. I was travelling solo, and the receptionist made sure I had transport everywhere I wanted to go and checked up on me regularly to make sure I was safe and well. The waiters, bartenders, cleaners, and maintenance man were all so friendly and welcoming. It was peaceful and the most relaxing break I've ever had. Food is nice, although portion sizes were very small for the money you pay. I never felt full after a meal. The food was nice, just not enough of it. The room was huge, and the interior and exterior decor was beautiful. True serenity place to stay 😌 I had a wonderful time and I'm sad to be leaving. Thank you again for a wonderful stay at Layla Gocek.

Everything was great - the hosts are upgrading the facilities to make it even better, look forward to returning and seeing it in future.

Layla Göcek is a little piece of paradise away from home! Everything in the resort is beautifully crafted with great attention to detail. From the grounds to the palm trees the lagoons pebble lined pool - the vibe is simply amazing, themed on a tropical, botanical garden farm. Very peaceful and quiet, really great place to relax in the calm and peace. Sumptuous breakfast served by the stunning pools, the hosts can't do enough to make you feel welcome and your stay comfortable. It's a place to simply escape to and enjoy!

The fact that I had to leave 😭😭

EX-CELL-ENT. 100% will visit again in summer especially. The weather was cool so I couldn’t swim in the beautiful pools and the sea but the view was enough to just relax and recharge. My vacation was like heaven on earth and I would love to stay a lot longer if I could. The rooms were so comfortable and it had everything I needed. And waking up to that view of palm trees 🌴and beautiful animals and sleeping with the sound of nature was exceptional. I cycled to the beach after my breakfast (which was also perfect. The open buffet had everything to my liking) and then enjoyed the calm beach. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. If you ever need to run from the busy city life you should run here honestly ,which I’ll be doing every summer obviously. The biggest thanks and love from me to layla family. 💖💖

From the beginning it was like waking up in a dream the moment we arrive they offered us a welcome cocktail and after worths we couldn’t spot drinking the Layla cocktails the common areas and rooms design is unique ever part of the hotel we walk we felt like we are in different place l. We eat at Layla every night after you taste it it’s almost impossible to go to a different place… Breakfast with chickens and all animals made us feel connected to nature overall it was one of the best holiday we had with my girlfriend thank you Layla thank you Mr. And thank you Mustafa for the amazing cocktails

We went down for the breakfast on our first day. There was everything put out , but without any covers. It was off putting taking any food that you had to swat flies from. Fortunately we were happy not eating breakfast after that.

We were a bit disappointed with the service. They have a very hands off approach. I think the main man on service is stretched and can be seen running around all day long. Others seem to be relaxing taking their time. It’s a shame as an extra push on service and the place could be a 10/10
