Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaSmall rooms and bathroom
Location was perfect, very close to the train station, restaurants, and Ephesus. The staff were also extremely welcoming and helpful with recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The property is serene with a bar, pool, and green spaces. Traditional Turkish breakfast was a treat. The rooms are small and the bathroom is very tight, but for the price and compared to other options in the area, it is a great place to stay

United KingdomThat we didn’t have the time to stay longer at this gem of a hotel and host.
The whole family loved Erdam, who runs the hotel. He was attentive, helpful, funny and works extremely hard for his guests. The property is beautifully maintained including the garden. Breakfast is amazing - fresh, lots of variety, quality

SlovakiaDrinks in our mini bar were after expiry date. We believe this will be changed. Everything else was good.
Amazing service offerd by all of the hotel staff. Very nice and friendly owner, giving us really good tips for the trips around Ephesus. It's lovely to stay in the small town of Selcuk and walk around. It is very quiet and you can experience local culture without masses of tourists. It is super close to Ephesus and other historical sites. The hotel is small and comfy, with family-like feeling. Absolutely beautifully made garden and fabulous breakfast. We felt very good in the hotel and will be happy to return again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

United States of AmericaEverything was great!
It is located in a very quiet area and very close to the site where the temple of Artemis once stood, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, which makes it a historically fascinating site. The room was very clean and the pool area was small but really nice.

ItalyI would add some more dessert and sweet things at the breakfast.
The hotel was amazing. The Host is very kind and friendly, available to give us directions and advice, such as where to dine (really good suggestion!). The room was spacious and characteristic, very Turkish style hotel. No parking problems. The hotel is located in an area with many restaurants, bars and other facilities. Breakfast is with fixed dish (no possibility to choose from a buffet) with bread, olive, cheeses (yummy!), eggs as you want... so we didn' starve! :-) recommend

IndiaWifi was slow and the family room was quite compact.
Erdam, the hotel owner is very helpful and welcoming. His energy is infectious. He helped us with planning our day and organizing taxis. This boutique hotel is located in the middle of the town and is close to Ephesus. The rooms are a little small, but very clean and comfortable. As we were checking out very early, they even packed a breakfast for us. Overall, I'd recommend this place.

United States of AmericaHotel was great - location, comfortable, clean, charming. Staff made it even better, we got there and got great recommendations for things to do around and we had to check out early the next day (prior to breakfast) so they packed us sandwiches and juices to go. So lovely. I wish we would’ve stayed longer. I would definitely recommend this hotel !

United States of AmericaWell appointed, clean and very kind staff. It was walking distance to both Ephesus Museum and St John’s Basilica and Fortress. Erdam arranged a taxi to and from Ephesus Ruins and recommended how we could fit in additional sights like the museum and the basilica ruins. Adnan and Neco were also helpful as dinner hosts and in arranging late check out. The restaurant (where breakfast is served) is cozy but can be cool in the evening and early morning, as it is on a covered patio. Breakfast spread is delicious, including breads, cheese plate, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, melon and breakfast mezes. They also offer eggs cooked sunny side up, scrambled or as an omelette (get the omelette with cheese). Dinner options are tasty and we ere too lazy to walk down the hill to check out the local restaurants The pool was a bit chilly, but was a great place to lay out on a chaise and soak in some sun

United States of AmericaLet me just say, THIS TOWN is BEAUTIFUL! With the loveliest host ever. Irdam/Irdan (apologies) was so nice. He welcomed me as soon as I got out of the car. He made me feel at home. He organized everything for me… and even gave me a deal. He’s like the gift that keeps on giving… cuz he also upgraded me to a better room and a better view…. And, of course I didn’t forget, the BREAKFAST! omg, they were amazing… and it was everyday that I was there… Thank you for the Livia Garden Hotel team for making me feel safe and at home!!!

United KingdomVery very minor things. Not having a restaurant - though when we arrived late a member of staff took us down to a local restaurant where we could get an evening meal. The bathroom was a touch small as well.
A lovely oasis in Selcuk! Beautiful garden to relax in with a small pool. The staff here are exceptional. Incredibly friendly and helpful - no request was too large! The breakfast was a huge spread and delicious!
