To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The service is exceptional. The staff go above and beyond to reach the guests’ expectations. They upgraded my room to suite for free and the room was spacious, clean and with a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Breakfast is delicious and lots of options. Emre the chief of reception is very friendly and informative. I will definitely come back with my family.

The staff is magnificent. They did everything they can to make my stay special. I stayed 11 days and every day was amazing. Breakfast was various and delicious. Room is cozy and spacious. They upgraded my room to the suite. I’d like to thank Okan the bellboy for his special care and Emre from reception for his attention. I recommend this hotel.

United States of AmericaThe tobacco smell is all over the whole hotel. It is everywhere -corridors, elevator, restaurant. The breakfast is poor and the restaurant doesn’t serve lunch and dinners. Now it is about 40 minutes from the new airport -not convenient for a short transfer. The fan and air conditioner didn’t work. Had to open the window to the noisy street.
