To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

GermanyWindows were closed very well and are not anti loud noises from outside, believe me Taksim and car horns are very loud. The breakfast at the building beside the one of start hotel which is their partner hotel. Breakfast was very much below average, not that well organized and the staff were not tidy. But nice view over the city.

Switzerlandhotel was let down - needs more care, cleaning, furniture was broken. breakfast was poor, not fresh, very small choice. we had cockroaches in our bathroom, the next day, however, we were given another room. when booking a room it says it has a balcony, it does not have a balcony. water quality from the tub was not good. curtains were not hanging properly. bathroom window had mold around it. fridge had only 2 waters. and fridge was not cleaned properly- it had yellow stains.

We loved its location and the room we booked with a Bosphorus view. There is noise at night from music, the light in the room is uncomfortable. Toilets were not cleaned for us all day, only made the bed and changed bags in a trash can. I wanted to pay cash at the receipt but the clerk already charged the credit card without asking me and it's a shame. The breakfast at the nearby hotel is below all criticism. The staff at the reception are very nice and very helpful.

LebanonThe wifi wasn't working but the staff helped fixing the problem. You can hear the noise from the rooms next to you. There is a pub near our room so it was loud but not hard to fall asleep.
The location is close to Taksim square, the metro station and the bus station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was always clean.

AustriaThe room was not cleaned for 2 days. We had to ask at the reception for cleaning but after that immediately somebody came to do it. Breakfast was not the greatest choice and the offer got less every day (no juice, no bread on the 2nd day) so we skipped it finlly on the last day
The location is good and close to Taksim metro station with plenty of options to eat and drink The hotelroom is small but very nice and the view was breathtaking.
