Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe only thing I could possibly think of to add is a little more to breakfast, but then the prices would have to go up and so dont even know about that becuase like the way it is priced right now combined with the experience get. Think everything was good just the way is
The best part of the experience for me was the thoughtfulness & intentionality of the people running it and the staff. When I got there, he had not only read my note about being pregnant and requesting less stairs but clearly thought in multiple ways about how to make everything easier and more memorable for our stay. He put us up in the carriage house which had less stairs, easier access to kitchen and bathroom and even noted how the shower would be easier to get into becuase would not need to step like up far. Very thoughtful & attentive and he was right. Was a wonderful accommodation for someone pregnant and just anyone becuase so beautiful! Every part of the property is wrapped in beauty and elegance and thoughtful intention of one with taste. I highly recommend this place to anyone, even if just staying one night brings a magic to day that won't experience elsewhere.

United States of AmericaBreakfast was not included with our room.
The welcome was wonderful. We got a whole tour of the property and an understanding of the history of the house. Our room was very comfortable, bright and clean. This is a beautifully restored historic home being lovingly cared for by its owners. We enjoyed wine hour and the writing table. We made use of the kitchen and the carriage house for a meal and loved the hot tub. It's a beautiful oasis in the middle of Minneapolis.

United States of AmericaConcerned about when told I’d outside cats and don’t let them in the buildings. We encountered a black cat he was super sweet and wanted inside. We had to wait till he got distracted so we could go inside. We felt bad leaving him out in the cold. I hope the owners have a place from them to warm up, like a heated shelter for cats. Puzzled as to why cats couldn’t be inside.
Grand place n lots to do on site. The manager was really nice and helpful. Many different rooms to choose from. Good location to downtown.

United States of AmericaI wish my next door neighbor would not watch news from 11pm to almost 5pm. But it has nothing to do with the hotel.
I really enjoyed the historical mansion and landscaping, also super friendly staff. Great historical neighborhood and wishing the neighborhood has more grocery stores. Also, I love their decorations and lovely cats.

Such a beautiful home. Decorated beautifully and you felt as if you were back in time. Loved hanging out on the porch and did some reading in the parlor. Stayed in main house 2nd floor Queen. Generously proportioned room. Lovely big shower. Wish we could stay longer. Will be back.

This is such a cute location and within walking distance of the lake, art park and the Walker. We loved everything about the area and especially Gertrude’s basement!
