To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaWhen first arriving, the place smelled heavily of marijuana that night. The host was responsive and cleaned the place and added air fresheners the next day, though.
There is parking close to the house within a gated community, and the directions to the parking spot and getting into the house were very clear.

United States of AmericaIf I had any complaints I would say that the TVs were a little tricky to figure out. I noticed that there were 5 Samsung TVs but only 2 Samsung remotes. It seemed like most TVs used some kind of Xfinity plug-in for smart TV capabilities. This wasn't very clear because all of the streaming apps inside of the Xfinity systems were locked with some parental code required to unlock them. So we were unable to stream most of the TVs until I realized that each TV functions completely differently with the Samsung remotes. My party ended up having to share remotes to get the TVs to work properly. It wasn't a huge deal so not really a complaint although the Xfinity system combined with an already smart TV doesn't really make sense so it was confusing trying to figure out how to stream. (P.S. I'm an IT guy so I like to nitpick when it comes to tech lol)
I really enjoyed the property. Parking was simple and convenient. Everything was clean and it was very spacious. Overall my group had a pretty great experience at this facility. No real complaints.

United States of AmericaAlthough there were a few things that could’ve been mentioned, the downstairs patio door from the inside doesn’t open correctly, the iron board was broken before we even touched it, the stove Pilate on the left side didn’t work and she definitely forgot to mention the key to open the gate for cars was there on the shelf and we didn’t know. And she we could get in the gate to use the pool as well
everything was good, the house was clean everything was in close range to get to.

United States of AmericaThe neighborhood is not very safe nor walkable - stay in after dark. Until our car was delivered, we took Uber to get groceries. While I'm grateful for having pots and pans available, they were very poor quality, like yard sale or junk. One pot did not have a handle. Upon first entering, there is no way through the gate unless it is already open. You do get use of the gate remote once you arrive, though.
The beds were very comfortable and the WiFi, once we got it working, had a strong signal. Very clean townhome, quiet neighbors. Lovely grounds with pond, fountains and gardens. Appliances are new and high quality
