Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room was basic and not how I built up the picture in my mind before leaving home. I paid over the odds because I thought it would be something special. It isn't. The room wasn't very clean. The furniture was cheap 80's put together furniture and broken at that. The wooden floor was worn away at the table where people sat, The taps spun round in the bathroom. The light on the bedside table didn't reach any plug. On the other side of the bed there wasn't any table. When you used the shower it felt like your foot would go through the batch so you had to stand on the edge of the bath. Really the room was shocking but the location was perfect. We only stayed for 2 nights and I think you are better in this grotty hotel than in a nice hotel in the Marina Del Rey area. A better choice may be Santa Monica.
The location is perfect but you must pay for an ocean view. People watching is great from the hotel room window and safe as there are a lot of homeless people about. We paid over £300 per night. I think the view was about £275 and the room £25. If you can accept that it is worth booking. We would probably book it again if we returned (not that we intend to visit America again). If you booked a room without the ocean view I image you would feel cheated, as the hotel has more of a hostel feel about it. Right on the beach (across a carpark) but no-one uses the beach. Still great sun sets though.

United States of AmericaNot all outlets work, saving electricity I guess. No ac even in the rooms they claim it’s in but they give you a fan. No tinted windows so everyone can see your business unless you wanna have no view with the shades down. Bathtub had a huge somewhat patched hole right under the water stream, so stepping on or near it feels like you’re about to rip right through it. No parking but atleast they warn you after you’ve booked. Homeless guy was sleeping right across the street from my window every night, we’ve made eye contact six too many times, I guess they can’t really help that. Microwave broke before I could use it. I pressed start and it shut off, even after using different outlets. They say smoke free rooms but the rooms smell like all kinds of smoke. Beds were as flat as a jail mattress Bed frames made way too much noise Walls are so thin I could hear the people above me enjoying their stay. Atleast they had spectrum.
This hotel had an amazing view, during the day only though. You’ll see a handful of homeless at night, if you stay in room 16, one will be sleeping next to the power box across the street looking right into your room. Good thing they have good blinds. I loved that you could open most windows to get that nice beachy breeze into the room. No A/C at all but they give you a standing fan. The microwave went out as soon as I pressed start, so I enjoyed my cold food, who needs to heat their food up anyways. Most outlets in the room don’t work but that’s okay, great way to save electricity. Bathrooms were decent size, sink was pretty, doesn’t really look like the pictures though. BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS or air dry, due to the ones they provide are stained and probably not clean. Windows were huge but wish they could’ve been tinted, I could see right through my window from the parking lot across the street (good thing I checked before anything). The elevator only fits a max of two people and a stroller. We’ve walked up the stairs the entire time, but that’s okay because they have pretty tile steps. Check in process was super quick unless the lady got caught up in a convo with someone else. Bed was loud, couldn’t even roll over without waking up the neighbors. Walls are so thin we could hear how much fun our neighbors were having. Mattresses are as thin as jail beds but that’s okay, nothing like a rough night of sleep. Check your sheets because they may be stained too. We had to buy our own covers because the provided ones had some left overs from a ladies shark week. Other than that, I got a nice view during the day, a room that wasn’t as big as it is in pictures, a bath tub with a giant patch covering a huge hole right under the water stream so I nearly fell through, and all at a not so worth it price.

United Kingdomlocation, it’s wedged in between 2 busy clubs with loud music on until 9pm on Saturday night, it’s on the stretch with street vendors, many homeless are milling around - harmless, but not uplifting to see, it gets very busy from mid morning to early evening
directly on the beach, modern urban style e.g. exposed brick wall, spacious, light room, helpful staff, secure car park available 2 blocks away for $20 per day (ask front desk for directions), loading at the main entrance was allowed/possible.

United Kingdomno A/C in the middle of a heat wave was very difficult. furniture in the rooms is a bit dated and rudimentary like a hostel. communal areas were clean but a bit musty. unclear if this was damp or something else.
