To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Russiano hot water for drinks, no microwave. a large deposit of $300. very, very inconvenient deposit payment system that appears after a completed booking.
it is very nice to be in the room. very comfortable bed. very clean. Convenient location, 5 minutes drive from the Golden Gate Bridge. overall 7.5/10 if not for motel rules. Would I still stay at this motel? Yes. :)

MexicoWe had a room at the end of the aisle which was quite dark, and there are a few spaces to park the car, we were lucky and always find a spot however if you happen to find the parking lot full you gotta find a place on the street which is hard to find in the area.
The location was really good, bed was comfy, has a hair dryer, the room was quite small, but we need a place for a couple of nights close to the golden gate, nothing else.

Everything was so close to us the Russian hill zigzag the aquarium the café of the golden gate and the cable cars and the paella and we loved the two movies that were streaming the bus are good and my son loved the beach👣 and the beach was so close to the hotel. Jake & Emma.

UkraineRooms are too small and some of them even don’t have windows! Also the rooms interior is quite old and the Internet connection was tremendously slow! The parking is too small and you might not get a place to leave your car. So, the overall rating must be lower than it shows now.

United States of AmericaThe shower faucets in the disability room was broken causing water to go everywhere. Which for my friend who was staying in there caused him some anxiety as he csnnot move around easily to mop things up.
The linens were clean as was the room. It was well equipped. For the price it was excellent. The location was very good 10 mins from pier 39. Parking on site, first come first served. All in all a good choice.

United States of AmericaI didn’t like how I bought a queen size bed room & I swear the bed was a full size. I was really upset when I saw it but I figured to just go with the flow and the bed ended up being comfortable. Also- one of the downstairs people had a puppy so it woke me up around 3am from its constant whine.
I liked how comfortable the bed was & how nice the staff was. The water pressure in the shower was great also.
