The Staff by far! Very helpful. Room was not ready when we arrived (7:30 pm). The staff jumped right on it and had it ready quickly. Everyone we came across with the staff was very friendly, helpful which made the stay great.

We chose the location as a midpoint between two road trip stops, but didn't realize there wasn't much in the area, only two options for dinner. We did eat at the restaurant in the hotel, which is unfortunately understaffed and food took about an hour to arrive - would plan for that accordingly next time.

Beach front location and our room had a lake view and a functional window! The lake front has seating and a fire pit. We used the pool, which was a good temperature, and the hot tub had very strong jets - we enjoyed both. Pool towels are provided at the front desk. You could tell staff enjoyed their work.

The restaurant's food was a bit sketchy. My husband had fried shrimp and fries and that was fine. I wanted to order grilled shrimp with a baked potato. They were out of both (out of baked potatoes??) I ordered a garlic parmesan encrusted walleyed and fries because there weren't many other choices for a side. I envisioned a thin crust of parmesan. The cheese was very thick and overwhelmed the fish. I ended up scraping it all off. I guess I should have asked more questions. The next night of our stay we stopped at a bar just down the road and had a great burger.

The hotel was very clean, the bathroom had nice fixtures and the shower was great. It's easy to get to, there was signage on the highways nearby that let us know we were going in the right direction. The hotel staff was welcoming, friendly, polite, and eager to be of service. There were nice little touches in the room: Two hand towels were folded like swans at the end of one of the beds with a little note that said "We're glad you're here!" or something like that. It just seemed very welcoming.

Yappy dog in room next door barked until 11:30 when it’s owner returned and then it whined throughout the night, which kept my son up. Was told dinner was until 9, but when we arrived for dinner at 8:26 we were told the restaurant was closed.

Hotel cannot help this, but no cell service there. Standing by the lake, some service. WiFi was available. Going to restauraunt, 45 minute wait for seating or food, either way you wanted it. No close by restaurants.

The food in the resturant was subquality. The salad had bad pieces in it, I was told there was no butter for my potato.

The pool and jacuzzi were great. It was great being able to see the lake from our room and to be able to walk down to the shore.

The way the rooms are described is a bit off. If they use Queen in the description, it should be a queen bed at least, and if they use King in the description it should be a king bed. It'd avoid unnecessary confusion.

The location is incredible. There are fire rings and places to sit over along Lake Superior to capture a beautiful sunset.

There wasn’t a light in the room entryway which made it seem very dark as we didn’t have natural light (window faced the interior pool) We could hear a neighbors barking dog.

The pillows on the bed were small, flat and lumpy. The hot tub was closed our first night there.

The main window out the living room was fogged up like the seal might have been broken. The male desk person in the evening was not as friendly as everyone else. it was a bit pricey to stay here.

I liked the room although it was described online as a suite which it was not. We feel the description could be more accurate.
