Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaBreakfast was delicious! It was a generous portion which prepared us for busy days ahead. Hosts were extremely hospitable and made us feel at home. I thought the self-guided tours that they had were a really nice touch. Ashton had great recommendations from where to eat and what to do and see. Would love to stay again if ever visiting NOLA in the future!

United States of AmericaWe were completely happy with the location as we did not want to be in the busy tourist areas. Some may not like that. However, we found it easy to get around using the bus that runs right along the B&B's street, taxis, Uber, or the New Orleans Streetcars that were not too far away. During the day we enjoyed a nice walk to the New Orleans Museum and the beautiful park and sculpture gardens there as well only a little over a mile walk down Esplanade Ave.
We loved our stay at Ashton's. Our room was comfortable and the hosts, Patrick & Karma, were more than accommodating & helpful. We most especially enjoyed the wonderful full breakfast we had each morning. Patrick is an amazing cook. He also is a wealth of information about New Orleans and making great recommendations for us to try some local restaurants and places of interest beyond the typical tourists spots. The house itself is beautiful and full of history too - very interesting to learn more about it. This was a quick three night stay for us, but it felt like a home away from home.

IndiaThere’s no other place I’d stay in NOLA other than Ashton’s. As soon as you enter the property, you’ll be glad to have booked this place. It is so well designed and well maintained, you’ll feel like you’re staying in some billionaire’s artistic retreat. The best part was the breakfast, which used to be the highlight of our day.

IrelandWhere to start! The property was stunning- we had the old fireplace room that directly opened to the courtyard which was lovely and a great place to have your morning coffee. Our beds were so dang comfortable, I never slept so well in my life. The touch lights above the bed made the room for properly lit and cozy. Having a hot breakfast ready to go every day at 8:30 was so amazing to have before starting our hectic tourist spot filled day- even our friends upon seeing the pictures of our breakfasts agreed they should’ve stayed in the same place! The hosts are so knowledgeable and can help you with almost anything. We will absolutely be returning

United States of AmericaThe location is safe and perfect for getting around NOLA., and Patrick and Karma were extremely gracious hosts. They had suggestions for our time in the city that helped us make the most of our brief time there. Each morning they sent us on our way with an amazing breakfast....especially enjoyed the sweet potato french toast. Returning to the B&B after touring in the heat, we were able to relax in the comfort and cool of a home rather than a high-rise hotel. Totally delightful.

United States of AmericaThe bed was a little on the low side but that was not a dealbreaker. The room itself was lovely.
Beautiful room and property and Mr. Ashton was wonderful and attentive. Though we are locals this was a lovely little getaway that was very peaceful and quiet. There was a nice little setup for coffee/tea/snacks/beverages whenever you wanted and the breakfast was great. We were not expecting to be waited on so this was especially a nice touch.

United States of AmericaIf I had to find something I didn't like about the property I could say the mattress wasn't as comfortable as I wanted it to be. I had no trouble sleeping at all but it's something that I would suggest to update in the future.
The food cooked for us was amazing. Since we rented a car the parking was really convenient. We really felt comfortable with the house is set up as it is.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. We got at the B&B in the afternoon but we were road tripping so we didn't know when we were going to arrive. Patrick and Karma got us a solution for it. The parking was a plus. The house is magnificent, the bedroom was exquisite, the breakfast... my... the BREAKFAST. Patrick has golden hands, and both of them have golden hearts. It was amazing, the most amazing stay we've ever had and I STRONGLY recommend you to go. I don't have enough words to describe how amazing it was. Thank you again SO SO MUCH.
