the fitness center is not free for resort guests - they charge $7 per day, which is very mean considering the amount of money we spent to stay there. Parking $10/day, extra $25 for amenities, whatever that is.

I was surprised as no one could help me with a jumper cable as my rental car did not start. I ended up walking around asking people who worked there or stayed there if they had a jumper cable. I would like to think that a hotel would have a list of towing companies and other essential services to assists their guests just in case their vehicles breakdown or other emergencies. Maybe security or maintenance could keep a jumper cable handy as a just in case. It would be a convenience for guests if a list was available. I was very fortunate that there was a local family currently staying at the hotel due to the Lahaina fire willing to assist me with driving me to the airport so I wouldn't miss my flight.

The staff there were extremely friendly and nice. I believe my room was upgraded and I was most definitely pleased. Thank you for that.

Heavy on going construction next door removing concrete decks. We should have bee advised of this in advance. Had to leave premises 3 days due to excessive noise jackhammering. Overall a great property with this exception. Booking.com should have given us a heads up re the on going construction.

Unfortunately we were there only 1 day when the fires hit Lahaina. Hence no power, no hot water and limited food. Not the fault of property however their communications were poor compared with other resorts we observed. The beach club was open at times with some food but no notice of when so it was hit or miss to get food. My biggest criticism is when we could get something at the beach club they would only accept cash and not charge to room. Under the circumstances this was not only appalling it was almost inhumane. Management were inadequate in their responses to this crisis.

Loved the pools and proximity to the beach room was comfortable and when we realized there was construction happening right next to our room, they quickly asked us if we wanted to relocate. It was quick and seamless. Very happy with the service as we have a little one who needs to rest in the afternoons. Also enjoyed all the live music - maybe have it more nights!

Bedroom on an open walkway providing no views on any kind, plus reduced privacy . AC control didn’t work properly, either too cold or too hot. Overall appearance dated and drab, but clean. Parking can be a challenge.

Nice view from room, though only of grounds. Restaurants close to the beach, with good food. Beach was small by area standards but nice, low traffic, enjoyable and relaxing. All staff encountered very friendly and helpful.

It isn’t necessarily a dislike, but a word of warning: a resort like this is only really worth the money if you’ll be *at* the resort most of your stay—this includes spending most days at the pool, participating in the daily “free” activities, and cooking many meals in the room. Otherwise, you’re paying a daily resort fee (in addition to the room cost) for access to things you aren’t using (like the DVD rentals or scuba lessons, etc). The only real dislike I have is that the resort’s beach was not very good for swimming, and you needed to drive down to Kaanapali Beach for a safer/more inviting beach experience.

Large, comfortable suites outfitted with ample cooking supplies. The two pools were large and never overly crowded. The on-site sundries store and “free” DVD rentals were good perks. The shower pressure was almost too good.

Check-in took 30 mins of waiting in line as there was only 1 person at desk, almost all staff I interacted with were not friendly, and just about nothing is complimentary. You have to pay $7/per person to use the gym (per day), $10/day for parking, and the little pastries and coffees are all for purchase and overpriced. I’m not sure what the $25/night hotel amenity fee is for if you can’t even use the existing basic facilities/amenities for free.
