Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast was tasty but all utensils were plastic single use and wasteful. The gym was poor. 3 cardio machines and a cable fly machine with damaged cables.
Staff were great. Hotel was very clean and comfortable.

My only issue, and possibly OUR phone server...Would not work for calls, if we got away from the building, over near the pool etc. Then we could make calls and they would go through and not drop.
We liked being able to park in front of our room. The room was good size and had frig and microwave. Towels were nice and plenty full. Bed a king was comfortable. The temp was regulated in the room and very efficient. Grounds were nice, the pool wasn't opened yet. The breakfast and attendants were excellent. We were there for 6 nights, in Springfield to visit family.

Unfortunately, Springfield government is allowing homeless to wander the streets panhandling again! CALL them at 417-864-1651 and tell them it is hurting business because you don't feel safe off the property unless you are "carrying." THAT is exactly the reason for the 2A and our natural right to protect ourselves and our families, because the govt either can't or won't.
If you put this hotel in another location, it would be perfect! This iconic, single story hotel has been kept very clean, updated and staff is excellent! Well groomed and doesn't feel like a typical "chain" hotel.

Having to wake up early.

On my return trip, I found ants in the bathroom and the refrigerator did not work. I lost all the food that I put in there for the night. When I was checking out, I mentioned to the front desk that the refrigerator did not work and there were ants in the bathroom and he immediately responded with, "You're not getting a refund!" I did not ask for one. He stated they spray and spray and can't get rid of them because of the water table in Missouri. His attitude was not appreciated or needed.
I stayed here twice while on a family emergency trip. Once going and once returning. The rooms were clean, felt safe in the neighborhood, and the breakfast was good and plentiful.

The lock on the door was partially broken. We had to line up the door and lock to get it to shut.

The staff in the morning went somewhere and wasn't around to help with the breakfast area.
The gentleman who checked us in was so helpful. Free water anytime. very nice room.

Hard to say. I didn't sleep a wink because of the thin walls, flushing toilets, creaky doors. Breakfast was doable. But food is food. I realized that there are still good Americans in this country struggling, but they make it work. Old school, hard working American atmosphere. I loved it. It's not a Hotel, a Motel.....it is a must for your kids to see the struggle. This is Real. Respect, no silver spoons. Americana.
I liked the Americana feel to it. Most families these days don't drive up to where their room is. My son respected and understood what I told him about what Americana is after our stay. It was very Reminiscent for me.

Paper thin walls. Neighbors watching TV and talking until 130 am. Lack of sleep not acceptable to cross country travelers.

The breakfest was great. However, it lacked oatmeal and bananas. It is clean and quiet, but the corners and edges of the carpet need attention.

It was a beautiful day. It would have been nice if there was a picnic table available to eat on. More gluten free options for breakfast would have been nice.
Staff was very friendly. The room was extremely clean. Breakfast was good. Appreciated the water bottles.

The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. Also the check-in staff were very friendly. The location of the hotel puts you right by a lot of good nearby restaurants.

Do not like the addition of onions and peppers to the eggs served for breakfast. They could be on the side for those that enjoy them.

When the next room ran their water, it was very loud woke us up several times.
