Had one bad experience with staff member, Lou from the kitchen who was not very understanding about using the toaster an hour before breakfast time due to me having to leave early to run the Kalamazoo marathon. Very rude and unpleasant.

First time in Kalamazoo, decent location to downtown, has a nice pool and hot tub for the kids.

Light came in all around the door. So even if you put towels on the floor it doesn’t help. There was no blackout curtain. The air conditioning unit in the room was extremely loud. No breakfast until after 7.

Easy check in. The coffee station is nice.

The kids got in pool and it must had too much chlorine in it, their eyes were burning and you could smell it, hot tub had bubbles as if it was a cleaner in there and was brown stuff on top the suds… maybe should’ve been warned if had just been cleaned or cleaner in it. More towels could’ve been available

You could smell the pool chemicals throughout the building. In my room, there was a used coffee pod in the coffee maker. The bathroom faucet was pretty dirty. The shower had cracked tiles and the caulk was discolored. There was poop in the toilet when I first used it.

Overall it seemed decent.

The pool area was small.... But there was a hot tub.

The rooms were really large and comfortable and didn't feel smashed. We got the room for my 15-year-old's birthday party and it fit him and several of his friends without feeling like we were on top of each other

The smell of the pool right when you walk in.

The check in lady was so kind, sweet funny and very personable!!! She made checking in easy and painless and then explained where our room was and answered all questions!

The only thing we didn't like is that the pool was freezing and the hot tub always had black stuff floating on top of the foam. I know a spa is supposed to have some bubbles but this was very foamy and didn't go away when the jets were off. The chlorine fumes were so strong that it burned our eyes. I wish they would clean the hot tub and pool better instead of just throwing more chlorine in it.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was great and the hotel was very clean. It was nice to be able to take my service dog with me as well. The breakfast was amazing. We loved that it wasn't just a little continental breakfast, but an actual full breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles fruit and so much more. We will definitely be staying there again. Thank you for a great experience.

My room could have been cleaner. The carpet needed better vacuuming. The counter around the stove burners and sink was gritty and definitely needed a serious cleaning.

Breakfast was good but lacked sugar free syrup. The location was right next door to our forum at the delta marriott conference center. I got a suite for the same price as as our special rate at the Delta Marriott. .

I had a gift certificate to use and the front staff didn't know how to ring up the gift card . I had to pay by credit card . This was ver upsetting !

Upon entering my room an odor came from the restroom that smelled spoiled/ musty. They changed my room but in the other room, I was not comfortable at all since the mattress was worn. From the pictures, I posted there were no blackout curtains to shut out the building light. I talked to 2nd shift and she never got back to me.

That though there were some hiccups the manager was very professional and assisted with my concerns in a respectful manner. Also, the young male staff though it wasn't his job helped to assist quickly with sanitation to the hotel room bathroom upon my arrival to the room. HANDS DOWN CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AMAZING AT THE FRONT DESK on the 1st and 3rd shifts.

The first floor and elevator floors were wet because of kids from the pool. REALLY wet. The staff put up a sign but didn’t mop. Slippery.

We decided to stay last minute so we looked online at prices and chose this one. When we drove there and went to book the room the front desk lady said it was $45 more than it did online. We asked if they world price match she said no. So we went to the parking lot booked with a 3rd party and 5 minutes later we were able to check in. The pool towels were hard to get. They kept running out! We visited the pool three times and each time getting a towel was difficult. Lastly, on the morning of check out while showering i noticed the dirty cleaning rag hanging on the shower curtain rod. 🤮

Room was ok. A little worn but clean. Pool was nice as was the hot tub the location was easy to find and convenient. The front desk clerk was nice. Awesome hot chocolate and coffee station ready for use 24/7!

The bathrooms are in dire need of fans. Excessive humidity is ruining the ceiling finishes and making using mirrors after a shower impossible fir a time.

The receptionist was very friendly . The room was nice. we were upgraded from a queen to a king sized bed. There were tea and coffee facilities to use at anytime.

Could not find front door....cars were parked on side. We walked the perimeter of the building since we parked by pool door. When we got to desk, ladies were busy at computers. We were not greeted well....more like....oh, we will get to you...but it was not said! Rest of staff helped when they could.
