Excellent location, plenty of walking trails nearby. The onsite general store and restaurant are also very convenient. Fuel pumps were also very useful if you’re road tripping.

Memories of earlier visits, historical location, and the restaurant were the major draws for us... The suite in which we stayed was comfortable and appropriately rustic...

Motion light in bathroom that kept going on, had to keep bathroom door closed

Great having a good restaurant on site. Exceptional service, everything very clean with an eye for detail. Really cool sitting in the wooden chairs in the Big Sur river having a drink!!

The rooms were small, the bathrooms tiny and there was no housekeeping or change of towels. The area outside our room wasn’t clean either. All in all we paid the price for a 4-5 star property but it was really a 2 star.

The dining areas and food were superb as were the the staff. The location is wonderful too, though being on the highway there’s a lot of traffic noise.

The public bathrooms near the restaurant were filthy. I don’t think anyone had been in to clean them all day. There was dirty (think poopy) toilet paper littering the floor. The seats had urine all over them. It looked and smelled worse than any public beach bathroom I’ve been in.

The room was clean and comfortable. I really liked the little patio out front to enjoy the cool night air. Sitting in the chairs in the river was also pretty awesome.

The location a few feet from Rt. 1 was noisy in the morning, and certainly not attractive or appealing. The room was small with minimal conveniences. Restaurant was so-so and very expensive. The price of the accommodations, for what we got, was exorbitant.

restaurant did not have any way to access internet but rooms did. Restaurant would not do to go food which meant i had to order at the bar and wait, then eat it there instead of just eating in my room

About 90% of the time no internet, no texting or even calls from our room and there was no dial phone either. TV was limited channels and obviously no streaming.

The location is great. The room is clean and comfortable. The grounds and river are beautiful. Great breakfast at the River Inn restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The wi-fi was very spotty and we couldn't really get internet. Unfortunately Pfeiffer Beach was closed so we weren't able to go while we were there.

The location was incredible and we loved the restaurant overlooking the river. The kids played in the river after dinner and we enjoyed the chairs in the river.
