To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

PolandBreakfast was so bad I didn’t attempt. No protein options other than boiled eggs. Rest was just sugar and bread. I don’t like that my credit card was charged $115 before the stay, then $105 for the night and $100 deposit. What should’ve been a $115 night, made a $320 dent in my credit card. I don’t get it and I don’t like it. Hopefully money will go back on the card in couple days. If not, I’ll have to do the works to get it back.

United KingdomNo staff - clearly a deliberate policy. Check in is via a TV screen with a non-USA based agent. Breakfast was dire - they'd run out of eggs, sausage and orange juice, and despite waiting over 20 minutes, and twice raising the issue with virtual assistant, nobody appeared. So no restocking at all of breakfast buffet from 0700 to 0725. Ended up going out and paying for breakfast elsewhere.

Water dispenser has not cold water in two days , Ice maker 1st and 3rd floor are broken(as per one employee). 2 guests had to ask for juice and milk just 8:30 am. Not clean. United States of AmericaIt was weird having a kiosk FaceTime a person to get checked in. I was only able to have 1 room key for four people, which was more of an inconvenience than anything. Breakfast was mostly carbs, it would have been nice to have scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage available.
It was a great location, right down the street from Teri's Cafe, which has great breakfast food at a great price! The settings and environment were beautiful.

United States of AmericaThere was only one working ice machine; it was on 3rd floor. Never did see an actual staff member-only on kiosk. AC did not work well. Breakfast only has food that is bread/sugar based-everyone in my room is a diabetic, and there was no one to ask for alternative options.
