One hour in to my stay, the front desk called that someone is complaining that I am jumping up and down. I told them I just took a shower and I am in my bed. They said okay with dismissive tone, and I got so annoyed to be accused of that. I told from lady on my check out and she was equally dismissive, she said I was not here, but I could be from another room. No apology. Also for the breakfast, I heard few people say that less than what they expected

Sighted some cockroaches when first lit light. SOME of the furniture, carpet and drapes looked old and shabby although most were in good condition including kitchen appliances.

Continental breakfast. Park'g close to bldg. Elevators. Very friendly staff. Carts for self-transporting luggage to/from car. Laundry room and gym. Close to stores, gas stations, eateries, grocery stores, church, etc., Very quiet neighborhood. Very reasonably priced.

The Wyndham is adjacent to a wonderful kids' park (we saw one protective mom in 3 days visit for 10 mins looking over her shoulder) and surrounded by transients. At night, there were some vehicles with people sleeping in their cars. There was totally no security. I wouldn't allow my teens to go to our SUV to get anything on their own. There is taco place a block away. Don't walk, drive unless you don't mind the encampments (drugs & prostitution in plain view). In front of each room there is an outdoor walk way that is black, carpeted and filmy. It was dirty. Wear shoes at all times. Do not go to the pool barefoot. Your feet will be filthy! The bathroom had a light & fan sensor that turned on automatically, so I had to keep turning it off. It would go on, even if we were out. At night, it turned on several times. Maybe it was just our room. The pool area avoid it. It's dirty with outdated patio furniture. There is some kind of film on the table. Years of dirty layers. Dirty clothes by the jacuzzi. 😲 Omg there was barf in the jacuzzi!!!! The pool was plain dirty. We sat at a table far away from the pool to enjoy the tropical garden. We ate takeout. The hotel restaurant is closed and disrepair. It must have been nice once. In all, stay in your room. It is the hotel's best feature!!! Park in front of your room if you can! The windows are not sound proof. You can hear every Dick and Larry talking outside your window. The location is freeway friendly, close to Bascom (tourist traps; Rose Garden, Bill's Cafe, Egyptian Museum, Santana Row) & 30 mins from Santa Cruz. Go from room to sightseeing.

The tiny room was exceptionally clean. The cost of the 3 days, 2 night stay was extremely affordable.

The property needs to be updated as my room had ripped curtains and stained carpets. In order to remain competitive, I believe that some modernization must take place otherwise the hotel will suffer.

I like the location and ease of booking through an app. The property in general was clean and the staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious.

This place is far past its prime, maintenance has not kept up and needs a make over. Breakfast is very basic. Lighting is minimal.

our room door was poorly hung and VERY difficult to open and close. TV had zero instructions what channels were available or a TV guide on programs. couches were uncomfortable without pillows for the back. and no extra roll of TP, could have been disastrous! Pretty minimal breakfast so we ate out, yet I’m paying for breakfast included. curtains were called blackout ones but left large gap on ends that allowed in sunlight.

The first person who hung up the phone on me was really rude she didn't even allow me to finish asking my question she just hung up .

When I first called the Larkspur hotel I was confused about a message someone emailed me so I asked to find out. The first person hung up the phone on me. When I called a second time the person was really helpful. He told me they weren't fully booked and a room was available and he saw my transaction online.
