The area is ok. The lodge is near the main street but not too busy. The curb appeal is not very nice. It’s a very old looking motel. The toilet paper is very rough on the skin.

Room and bathroom is clean and updated. The bed is comfortable. Not very firm. I like white comforter because you can see if it’s dirty and not outdated. It has a microwave and refrigerator. It has a nice seating area.

The outside of the building was dated and old. I had some second thoughts when I pulled up to the hotel at 11:00 p.m.... honestly the outside of the hotel looks a little seedy. It would have been nice to have had some extra pillows.

Limited parking. I was able to maneuver around and back into a tight space in rear, but overall, get there earlier rather than later for parking. Also, I rolled an ankle and fell off the dark green walkway immediately surrounding the building in the pre-dawn darkness. It looked level with black driveway, but it isn't!

Very comfortable bed, just right balance between soft and firm. Clean, recently refurbished bathroom with good nicely-tiled shower. Esp like the cove for shampoo, washcloth, etc. Big TV, table and two good chairs in a compact room. Would def stay again.

A bit of rougher neighborhood where clerk locked the door and used the night window in the late afternoon. Parking was a bit limited, but we found it. Hotel looked like a 1960’s style - think Lorraine Motel in Memphis look. Older outside, vintage look. Inside room was more modern.

Had to park in the street around the corner as the lot was full. The walk wasn't long and didn't seem dangerous.

They upgraded my room at no charge, it was the one with a full kitchen. Shower was beautiful, room was large, kitchen well stocked, room seemed clean. A family could easily stay there comfortably with two large beds, and a couch that could be a small child's bed.

There were. not reading lights by the bed. The shower was small and the floor was a little uneven. Parking was limited and a bit tight, but there seemed to be enough for each of the 15 rooms. There are security cameras and I felt safe. No ice machine.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean and fresh. The towels were also clean. The refrigerator worked. Free Parking was nice. Coffee maker and coffee in room. There was a terrific place to eat 2 minutes down the road called the Corner Diner. Really great breakfast! The staff were very friendly and helpful in orienting me as a first time visitor to Ventura.

Could use an additional mirror in room/ vanity space. Not a lot of parking, but side street parking right next. Stairs are loud, so would stay opposite side next time.

One drawback was no formal closet, but a clothes rack was provided. The shower and adjacent sink area were clean, but there were only two small bars of soap and minimal toiletries. There were also a limited number of electrical outlets accessible near the bedside closest to the front door, that also had an end table lamp which I couldn't plug in. These are comparatively small inconveniences for the reasonable price and quality of the room.

The manager was very friendly and offered me a larger room with full kitchen at no extra charge. The room was in the back and upstairs, so we didn't hear traffic or noise from the one adjacent room. Best feature was the stand-up shower had strong hot water pressure.

The room came with a kitchen, but there were practically no dishes, utensils, or other kitchen supplies. Also, the location wasn't the best.

While the exterior isn't very inviting, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and everything worked well.
