location is great! right on the beach! great views! far from the pier. about 3 miles but still great. pool and hot tub were nice. large pool deck! property has beach access as well!

No major complaints, but if you want to know my smallest nitpicks: Room was definitely worn a bit (stainless steel fridge had pronounced rust covering maybe 20% of the front of the fridge, cracked tiles, TV had been replaced with smaller dresser-top model and old wall mounts were still visible. One curtain pull-rod was missing, etc. ) Nothing that affected functionality, but if you want the room to be fancy, this wasn't. Pool area looked like it was half-renovated maybe, lots of areas that looked like they should have landscaping, but were just large dirt patches, so again, nothing functionally broken, just not attractive. It may be that they were in progress of replacing it?? but we saw no evidence of ongoing work Also in the pool area was a Tiki bar, it had beer and very limited mixed drinks, but no ability to charge to room, which would have been nice for a pool bar, but more annoyingly, when I did get my credit card, there is no way to tip the bartender with the card, that was cash only. No room for a second car on the property. There was a parking lot across the street that apparently did not tow despite a sign declaring no overnight parking (if you're into gambling), or there is a lot further north up the beach (if you wanted to be safe)

room: Super comfortable beds (we got 2 Kings, instead of the 2 Queens we reserved) with nice bedding and pillows. We heard virtually zero noise from other rooms during our stay, and the beach view was rather lovely. Kitchenette was functional, but we didn't really use it, other than the regular-sized fridge/freezer. (there was also a 2 burner stove, pots/pans, toaster, microwave, coffeemaker, various utensils, flatware, and silverware) Bathroom was large and had some ADA accommodations (wide door, low vanity) (was not a special request, so possibly just how all the bathrooms are?) Beach access was very close with a coded gate right from the pool area, (down a flight of steps to the beach) Staff were friendly and helpful at every interaction. Parking for single vehicle was right in front of the hotel and easy to access (and included in price of room)

elevator buttons were opposite it seemed like. left side opens elevator on other side and vise versus. breakfast boring. card for door was terrible. had to keep trying like 10x to get it to work on on the 2nd day… the battery died so we had to use a door key 🔑. we had laid down for a nap and heard a knock at the door then another louder knock. my husband said “rooms occupied” and then we heard “do you want maid service?” he responded back “no”. the sign was on the door that said do not disturb. 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ neighbors were SOOOO LOUD. it sounded like they were in our balcony… this was at 1130pm

You can tell this an old property and thanks to Hurricane Nichol it has received a facelift. I loved the fact that there was LVP on the floor and not carpet.

You can tell the team members take great pride in the cleanliness of this hotel. It was a great value for us. We just wanted a place to sleep for the night and for an ocean view room, the price was right.

hotel is dated but it looks like some improvements have been made. bathrooms need to be remodeled. this hotel has great POTENTIAL!! old furniture in rooms and just dated.

the only thing that was some what disappointing was the fridge in our room was not clean. and the beach access was damaged due to the hurricane, it was still accessible, just not alot of beach as the water was super close to the hotel, which obviously isnt their fault.

the location of the property was very convenient. the outdoor pool/tiki bar area was super cute. the room was a decent size, the sheets and bed were clean.

Furniture had ripped seats, broken floor tiles in entrance way and bathroom, **HAZARD**floor lamp falling apart and was plugged in, higher toilets need (to low) and bathroom countertops! was not informed of the breakfast times when checking in.

Really needs new beds, one person sits down and the other person fly’s off. Also new linens, getting a little thin.

i didnt like how the cleaning lady was towards our tag on the door needing it cleaned. She had a attitude and was like what do you want done and im like just sweep the floor.

There was some machine kind of noise most of the night. Not sure if it was the air conditioner or not. Otherwise the room accommodations met our needs.

We left too early to eat breakfast, but we were so glad to be able to access the beach from the hotel.

I've always liked coming to emerald shores hotel now for the past 4 years. The bed wasn't as comfortable as I remember. I believe the breakfast could have a little more variety bananas oranges etc

Many repairs needed throughout the facility.

The hotel is in a good location and we loved having a room viewing the beach/ocean. While the room and whole hotel could use updating and repairs, the bed was extremely comfortable and we slept really well.
