Due to the location the restaurant/ bar are the only option unless you take a long drive to the nearest town. It's therefore quite expensive.

Location - As close as you could get to the park entrance and in the middle of nowhere, which is what we wanted. Still a fairly long drive to get into the Valley. Facilities - everything you need is on site. You could spend a day or afternoon just onsite and have things to do. Staff - the activities team were great. Ali planned our hikes in Yosemite, recommending some beautiful but less popular places

The whole experience was superb! From the friendly and welcoming staff who were ready to help however they could to the wonderfully comfortable accommodations of the lodge - I was thoroughly impressed! Even the food was delicious and a welcomed sight after anything else’s “park food”, plus the service was on top of checking in with you whenever they saw an opportunity to do so.

It was far away, but worth it.

Wow- this place was amazing!! The staff was amazing… very helpful and friendly. The cabin we had was heated by fireplace, and it was so cozy at night. The shampoo/soap smelled delightful, and they had a cafe for the morning where we could grab coffee and breakfast. If we are ever back at Yosemite, we will come here!

The person who checked us in didn’t provide the pool area code. We didn’t even know there was a pool till our”neighbors” told us and shared the code. She also gave us a lantern without a battery pack in it!! Fortunately we brought our own. We stayed in the campground.

We brought our own cold breakfast food. The hot tub/pool was terrific.

We love the location and the room. Please note, the property is outside of the main Yosemite Park and is about 40 min away by car. We didn't mind. The property is quite near the Hetch Hetchy reservoir. Only 1 % of the park visitors make it to the reservoir. We took advantage of the nearness and visited the reservoir one late afternoon.

We didn't have much hot water one evening - only one of us could take a shower. The next morning the water was hot again.

This was our overall favourite stay during our California trip! The Evergreen Lodge is the most amazing cozy place we have ever seen. Perfectly after a wild hiking trip in the Yosemite Nationalpark the Evergreen helps you to recreate in every single manner. We have been there in the winter time just before the first snow and it was so wonderful. We loved every single detail in the lodge and as well in the whole park area of Evergreen. We loved the restaurant including bar and fire place, the recreation center with the christmas decoration was so amazing and we also loved the evergreen shop where we bought a lot of souvenirs. We felt so much happier and relaxed after our one-night stay at the Evergreen lodge - it was incredible! Thank you so much.

There was a wedding on site on our first night, the music was thumping until late and this was unexpected when we booked to stay in the forest. We tolerated it and tried to sleep (including our children) as best we could, but were woken again in early hours by drunk wedding guests forgetting that families and non-wedding-guests were staying on site. Evergreen was still a magic location and experience, but I feel like non-wedding-guests should've been advised prior to arriving on site that they wouldn't get much sleep!!

A truely unique experience, we wish we'd stayed for longer to make more use of the on-site facilities.

Probably a good place to stay with kids! Lots of activities - like a good summer resort. I think summer with the pool open, etc would be awesome.

I liked this property. It had some lovely touches. Lovely fireplace under the stars. Free s’mores! It would be a great place to stay with kids as there are a lot of activities.
