Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaFinding the entrance was a little puzzling. Once finding the stairway, a quick call to the proprietor explained how to find out room & key.
Staying in an historical building with a quaint setting in a fun town.

United States of AmericaThe only thing we had an issue with was the location was a little farther away from the Mercantile than we wanted.
The guest service guy was great! Bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed.

United States of AmericaNot well lit up outside, had to use our phone flashlights to see getting to our rooms at night. We really struggled to find the place when we arrived, if it hadn’t been for the host we would have never found our room.
Proximity to everything we wanted to do/see.

United States of AmericaNo on staff person for check in. Owner calls to give instructions on where to find the key (down the hall, inside a desk with your name written on an envelope.) Glad I was in a group. Would have been very uncomfortable alone.
Quirky little hotel. Actually restored apartment building. Claw foot bath was lovely. Room was very clean

United States of AmericaBathroom floor was all cracked up and water was not clear - red tint. When flushed toilet water would back up in tub. Rustic and a bit muggy. Need better signs to help locate.
No staff on premise totally self check-in. For the price room was okay for one night. Location was end of strip but walkable to everything.

United States of AmericaWow. First off, if you have any mobility issues, this is NOT the place for you. Parking lot is far away, and it's an obstacle course to get to your room. Bathroom was up a step and small. Bathtub was nice, but not for a shower. Kitchenette was nice...but needed a faucet. Cups, glasses, coffee maker were supplied, but you had to go into the bathroom for water.
Location was great for my needs. Bed was comfortable. Room was good size.

The location was great. It was a nice walk to go eat or shop. There was a kitchen area just in case we needed it.

United States of AmericaBed could have been a little more comfortable, but no big deal.
It was an interesting hotel from a historic point of view. The room was a little quirky, but I did appreciate the eclectic collection of furniture and lighting fixtures. Liked the bathtub as well. Bed was so-so comfortable.

United States of AmericaI never received any check-in information, so I wandered around, trying to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. When I called, the gentleman was not apologetic, but indicated he was just getting around to messaging me. It was well past 300 at this point. He was just full of a lot of hot air! The TV from the room next to me was coming thru loud and clear. I had to use white noise to get to sleep. I also question how well the place was cleaned. There was a very used q-tip in the soap dish when I arrived. Yuck! I also didn't appreciate the bumpy road with crevices that leads you to the parking lot. It felt like I would scrape the front end of my rental car every time I fell into one of the ridges. The place is cute, but it's just not so welcoming.
The room is cute with many amenities, including a kitchen. The bed was extra comfortable. It is a huge space.

United States of AmericaKey was not in box at check in time. Check in time was 3pm and we received key at 5pm. Bed was not very comfortable and no bedding for roll away bed.
Location is great! View from the balcony was amazing. Joe was right there when a problem arose with room key. Even though the hotel is right downtown it is very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely stay again.

United States of AmericaNo staff anywhere? Keys were left in a very publicly accessible area where anyone off the street could come in and grab them. Hopeful no one went in after I left my room because when you leave, you just put keys in a hallway desk where anyone can come by and get into your room. That part made me nervous.
Certainly a different type of lodgings but very enjoyable!

United States of AmericaI would have liked the bathroom to be a little bigger. It was odd that it said it slept 4 when it really didn't. The bed was a queen bed, and then a short futon. Donna was so sweet, she brought us an roll out bed, but it wasn't very comfortable. The queen bed wasn't very comfortable either. Needed more padding.
I liked the rustic part of the hotel. I liked the location. The staff was great. We met Donna, and she took good care of us. I liked that it was clean and had a good size refrigerator.

United States of AmericaBecause I stayed in January, an additional blanket would've been nice. There was an electric fireplace that provided the only heat so the bathroom was a bit chilly.
Because it's an old building it was very unique. My room had a bathroom with an old fashioned claw foot tub. There were shower curtains so a shower was possible. There were cabinets where there were dishes and coffee supplies. Full size refrigerator as well. There was a queen size bed and love seat for sitting.

United States of AmericaNothing really.
The room was furnished comfortably. The king bed was good as were the pillows. Do not expect The Hilton, this is a good, solid and clean place to lay your head. My room had an actual claw foot bathtub with shower curtains so a shower was possible. Actually, this place reminded me of an old fashioned hotel from the 1930s. I met the owner Joseph, and he's very pleasant. The pet fee is very reasonable so PLEASE pick up after your pet to not ruin this for others.
