Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It wasn’t filthy, but housekeeping is definitely the weakest link of the team.
The front desk was very friendly and accommodating when asked for assistance. Standard motel in close proximity to a great restaurant and liquor store that has toiletries and essentials you may need.

The smell of smoke in the room. Wore off after a bit but it was still there. Carpets were stained, so no barefoot walking around. Bed was old and spring supported, which means every time someone moves everyone moves.

Pictures on the website were quite misleading. Much smaller then expected. Parking was a joke.
Beds were super comfortable. They allowed us to check in way late. Easy to find location.

It was ok just kind of small and the pool needed updating. Saw a used condom shoved between the cracks of the pool wall and the cement floor. The room key didn't work at first so i had to go back into the office to have it fixed and they had a "be back in 10 min" sign on the door so I was waiting out of my room for a while while my husband took a shower.
All the staff had smiles at least and tried to be accommodating. I liked that it was really close to old town and in the hotel circle. Was very easy to find being that it was on a main road and very close to the freeway.

The shower head was not working correctly. Something was wrong with the shower head and because of it, it made the water pressure extremely weak. Note: I’m sure it was just that room.

No coffee in the room, had to go to the office to get it. Very inconvenient. The towels were cheap and scratchy. The fridge leaked water all over my food. The microwave was old and had burn marks, no rotating plate, I was afraid to use it to make hot water for tea. From the parking lot to the room there was an incline instead of steps. I have back problems and needed help going up and down.
Location was perfect. Staff is very nice. The king bed was very comfortable. Pool was great

Not necessarily that I didn't like but I should have checked what they provide so I packed properly. They didn't really have bar soap for the sink - they use a shampoo or body wash instead. Bed is okay not that soft. The tv remote also was acting up you need to get out of bed and be close to the tv for you to switch channels etc. Essentially, what you pay is what you get. It just kind of worked out for us because we were only at SD to check out apartments.
Pretty close to everything. There's also parking at no additional cost. They do have a pool but didn't really check it out or hang out there. Price is ok compared to the rest but again, don't expect quality would be great.

Condition of the room. Chair was old and peeling. My tub still had hair. Oh and my room had a strong marijuana scent. Hurt my head. Luckily my kids room did not smell like this.
Location was excellent. Close to mall, restaurants and more.

I found 2 roaches in our room ..It was rare that someone would answer the front desk phone and There were things missing off the walls.

HadA/c didn't work and I would say the jacuzzi bathtub isn't the safest getting in and out. Also decided to stay an extra night didn't like i had to check out n check back in and they had to do another deposit.

There were multiple people just loitering around the parking lot, our bathroom was dirty with yellow/brown stains on the walls, the room smelled like cigarette smoke, and the walls were also stained. We also didn’t appreciate the room not having a refrigerator. Only stayed because we just needed a place to sleep since our days were fully booked with activities.
We appreciated the price range and the location was the best.

Pretty much all I didn't like wasn't very clean no drink machines no ice no cups no breakfast really not worth the 140.00 a night
