They were watching the us like we did something wrong.. called our room and said we had two other people staying in our rooms we clearly did not.. had to pay a $60 deposit just in case they saw there’s two people again. Very alarming and uncomfortable.. will not be staying here again

We were sad to the front desk (appeared to be a hispanic woman) request $50 cash deposit for a non-smoking room of a black woman (who looked professional) who was in the lobby at the same time as us and traveling alone. We also had requested a non-smoking room but have never, ever been asked for a CASH deposit. We are familiar with deposits, but never cash, and always clearly stated when doing an online reservation.

There was no breakfast, which was fine. We primarily look for value.

The breakfast area door was locked and there was no breakfast due to COVID concerns. However, when making our reservation online, the location's website made no mention of this. So nothing upon which to comment when it comes to breakfast. We had to obtain new electronic keys each day we stayed at the hotel. When we returned to the hotel each of the three evenings, our electronic key cards would not open the door to our room. That meant a trip to the front desk each day to have the cards re-coded.

I didn't like the fact that I went to visit my kids and we all went swimming, an hour into us being in the pool they said no visitors in the pool who weren't in my room. Also still had to give $50 deposit even though I already reserved and paid for the room

Front desk people didn’t speak English. when we checked in the lobby was full of junk. the owner had his dog barking at everyone in the lobby. Refused a refund when we had an early check out his policy was before 11 but we had no idea we were checking out early.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I felt physically unsafe because of how unfriendly and hostile the staff were. No breakfast even though the room description said breakfast was included. I wish I'd read the other reviews more closely that mentioned the cash "safety" deposit that often doesn't get returned; this was consistent with our experience. Keep in mind that you may end up paying $50-60 more than the listed price once they keep your cash deposit, and stay somewhere else. There are lots of much better looking options nearby.
