Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great location , easy 5 minute walk to beach and restaurants. Nice pool. Front desk staff was very nice and answered any questions we had. Very friendly.

Maybe better pillows, but that's everywhere.
Everything was great. I love old school places. They remind me of my childhood. Island Inn has that nostalgia and is super clean and convenient. Great staff and awesome parking. I will be back for sure!

I was disappointed there wasn't a stove in the room. There was one in the pictures, but our room didn't have one. The bedding definitely could have been better, as it was cheap sheets and very, very thin comforters,but other than that it was very lovely.
Great location, quiet people, had the pool all to ourselves. Very clean, even though the furniture is a bit worn, everything has been cleaned very thoroughly, and I am a professional cleaner who always looks for cleanliness!

All was good.
NIce place and a good location. We stayed with several friends, and they had different hotel rooms, and from the discussions, ours was the best. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and had a good attitude.

All the staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We arrived late, and the gentleman that lives on the property helped us get to our room. The following day, I embarrassingly locked the key fob into the room, and the kind lady at the front desk issued me a spare.

Don’t let the “right off the highway” spot deter you, this place is great! Very simple, but comfortable. Close to two public access ways. Room has a fridge and microwave. They have lots of grass for your pets to sniff and use the bathroom, which is nice. Bed was comfy and so was the pull out couch. The staff were friendly as well. Nice little get away spot. Would stay here again!

The mattresses need an upgrade - but that is literally all I can think of. Rooms are always clean and have everything needed to be comfortable!
Love the location of course - its walking distance to the ocean, restaurants, and some shopping! The Police station is literally right beside the property so no BS happening here! I was able to bring my dog and they have a great dog walking area with poop bags and everything. Love staying at this place!

My neighbors! They were making love all night and were calling on God all night. So the walls are very thin!!!
The property was very appealing, check in was easily and the young lady who checked me in was very personable and friendly. I found my room to be very clean and refreshing upon entering. Some of my friends who started at the Hilton were wishing that they would have booked there as well. I highly recommend.

Loved everything about this place! Location, location, location!! The bed could use a new mattress though. It was very lumpy and had no support at all. Other then that - LOVED IT and loved being able to have my pup with me! Staff was great!

The kitchen sink was also the bathroom sink in my room.
The hotel is a great value for being close to the beach with an old motel feel but renovated rooms. The rooms are clean and large size. Would stay here again for an inexpensive beach trip.

Nothing not to like here! A barking dog was not great but it is a pet friendly hotel so it is what it is.

Only complaint is very rough washcloths. Felt like sandpaper. Otherwise everything was perfect.
Comfortable room. Clean. Just right for 2 of us and our dogs. Bed was comfy. So was the couch.

We couldn't stay longer.
The location is walking distance to everything. The rooms are kitchenettes(ours was). Pet friendly which was a big plus. Everything was clean and well manicured.
