Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe forgot to ask how to turn the heating down. It turns out it was a separate unit, not the radiators. We were hot in the night. Make sure you ask. It is not in the town so you need to be aware it is a long walk of 2 miles the shops of Woodstock.
Quaint and lovely. We typically stay at big chains. This was a wonderful change for us. Breakfast was great. The place was full due to the eclipse, so we met so many friendly people in the various public areas. There were couples who were repeat guests, so we knew we were lucky to get a great room.

United States of AmericaVery cozy and charming . The room was wonderful and the Innkeeper Camille did a wonderful job preparing our room for my wife’s birthday with roses and champagne. The breakfast was terrific and everyone from the cooking to the housekeeping staff were helpful and very hospitable. After a snowfall in Woodstock the area was perfect for a Vermont getaway! Everything was done very well- superb!

United States of AmericaThe lack of night life ie... bar, pub or even the bar at the inn closed too early. It seems like after 8pm the town closes its doors.

United States of AmericaAll good.
What a lovely place to spend a few days decompressing! Let me give you — reasons why this should be your next travel experience. 1. It is elegant without being stuffy. Everywhere you turn, you see little touches, thoughtful touches, that remind you that the owners know the business and know, exquisitely, how to care for their guests. 2. Breakfasts are sensational. They are tasty, unusual, and beautiful. And they are served in a dining room that oversees beautiful grounds. 3. The grounds are breathtaking. Everywhere you look, there are flowers and bushes and gardens, professionally attended to. It takes a good half hour to mosey around the four acres that comprise this elegant estate. 4. While you are out and about on the grounds, there are all kinds of places to sit. In the shade, in the sun. Grouped with multiple chairs. With solo or pairs of seats. Our favorite thing to do was to cross a bridge over a creek that runs through the property, and sit in the shade of a tree next to a small pond on the property. Such serenity. The quiet is punctuated by an occasional rooster from a nearby property. 5. While you are in the building there are lots of places to sit and read or quietly converse. There are at least three rooms devoted to this purpose. One is a library. All have elegant, but comfortable chairs. 6. The bed in our room was a study in luxury. I am 5’11”, and the top of the mattress was above my belly. It was a little awkward to ascend into (my wife’s side has a step stool), but well worth the effort. The bed is ultra comfortable. 7. The staff was personable, and made it clear that they would do anything reasonable to please their guests. 8. You know how country inns sometimes have a long covered porch and multiple easy chairs. This one does as well. 9. The avian life of the property is rich. Sitting in the dining room, it was a joy to watch dozens of birds flitting about the property, moving amongst the trees and vegetation.

United States of AmericaGreat breakfast, was prepared by the owner/chef and it was different every day we were there. The location was right outside of town, a 5-minute drive to town, and well worth the trip, Cant wait to go back to see what else Woodstock has to offer, 👍

United States of AmericaThe only suggestion we can make to the B&B is to lower the sugar and overall carb content of the breakfasts (better balance). Everything was absolutely delicious (no complaints there), but at least half of the breakfasts we experienced started with a sugary signature beverage and were rather heavy for starting the day. Wish there was a simpler, lighter option on those heavier days like eggs and fruit or eggs, breakfast meat, and toast. A sugary drink followed by fruit (with maple syrup) followed by French toast with breakfast meat (just an example of one of our mornings) was enough sugar to make us want to nap at 10 a.m. We suggest balancing the menu a bit better or offering a simple secondary/back up option to guests.
This B&B was phenomenal -- and we're picky travelers! We loved everything from the room to the breakfasts to the overall atmosphere and service. Location wise it was satisfactory -- only a 3-4 minute drive to the shops and restaurants of walkable and very charming Woodstock. We would definitely stay here again.

United States of AmericaIt does have a more formal vibe so although I thought everyone was nice, it wasn’t quaint like a smaller B&B.
