Housekeeping could have been better (for the price being paid) Towels were not replaced, cleaning cloth was left on counter.

The location was great. The views and close walk to the beach was lovely. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Not very sound proof and housekeeping wasn’t on par for the price that you pay. Breakfast and drink were very yummy even though we did not get our welcome drink.

I was hoping for a warm, glowing fireplace experience in the lobby which would have made the trip perfect. There is a fireplace but it doesn't generate warmth and would lend itself to a perfect lobby/bar area.

The breakfast was terrific. Very quality food. Appreciated the free parking and warmth of the staff especially Veronique. Thank you!

My room faced the street so it was very loud at night, which disturbed my sleep. I thought it was a room issue but you could hear the cars throughout the day around the hotel so it may be something they can’t address. Breakfast is included but starts at 8am. I was there for work so I would leave before that. If I were there on vacation I guess it wouldn’t be an issue. I was able to get breakfast one day, which was good.

Breakfast was delicious. Service was excellent by our two staff members. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, in a residential neighborhood only one block stroll to the staircase to a secluded ocean beach and cove. Also on main California Costal Highway 1 and just a 20” walk to downtown LaGuna Beach

We loved the ability to disconnect. The record player was so fun to pick records out for everyday. The extra touches; iced tea by the pool, beach chairs and umbrella use for free and the free welcome drink were all so nice.

We stayed in a bottom floor and the noise level kept me from sleeping. It would be great to include ear plugs for bottom floor rooms or a sound machine like a hatch. The record player didn’t work in the olivine room. The beds were uncomfortable and it would’ve been nice to have extra pillows. The manual in the room indicated we would be texted to see what time we would like coffee service and if we wanted an alternative milk creamer but we didn’t get this message.

Breakfast was great. The property was beautiful and cozy. The location was perfect. We were searching for something away from the busyness. Hospitality was 10/10. The details really took this property to the next level - loved the water and birthday touches like the card and wine. The bathroom, room and lobby were designed beautifully. The coffee service in the morning was absolutely fantastic. The welcome cocktails were a great touch. I would also recommend adding a non alcoholic option.

With a very short walk to a lovely beach cove and a most stylish and comfy room (Auric, with very pretty view), we loved our stay at the Joaquin Hotel. Breakfast (included with the room) was wonderful. Overall, it was a delight to be here!@

We were in a room close to the street so could hear the (minimal) traffic during the night.

The included breakfast was delicious! There were 4 options — depending on your mood you can choose what you are feeling. It was fresh, tasty, and could tell it was made thoughtfully. The living room and bar space was so cozy and welcoming to hang out in.

Although its design was very nice and true to the pictures, the room did not meet our expectations and its description on the hotel's website. The promised ocean view was actually a side view that you would only see if you went out one of the mini-balconies. We had precisely looked for a hotel/room that would meet two criteria: sleek design and ocean views, and unfortunately the latter was not met, despite a promising description.

The hotel is just as beautiful as in the pictures! The lounge and breakfast areas are beautiful, with wonderful design and a beautiful ocean view. Staff is incredibly nice, always there for you! Complimentary breakfast was a bliss.

The layout and decor is beautiful. It’s SO peaceful! The breakfast in the morning is a really nice touch and we loved their record selection. Also, the staff was lovely. We noticed some new faces and really enjoyed all of our interactions with them.
