Problem with Booking.com checking in for my friend. Problem with prepay.

Check-in was difficult. I thought that I had put 3 rooms on my card, but each room had to be paid for separately, and paperwork needed to be signed by 3 separate people. It took much longer than expected to check in. The walls and doors must be thin - we heard people talking across the hall and in the hall well into the night.

There was only decaf tea at the breakfast bar. The gentleman who was working on the morning of 10/29 dig for and found regular tea for us. The coffee at the breakfast bar was good! We requested a rollaway bed, and it was delivered quickly to the room.

Our room was on the third floor. No elevator which means no cart to put your luggage etc on. Had to carry all of our belongs up 3 flights of stairs. We are in our seventies! When we checked in staff person said if booking online again to request first floor.

Old facility needs updated. Appears run down and dirty. Lots of younger teenagers/young adults using foul language. Appears some people reside there.

Hair in bathtub and toilet. Not enough lights in room. Very dark. Felt like a Crack motel. Bookings said it came with breakfast but there was no breakfast. Only coffee.

Handles were missing from drawers making them unusable. Door was missing chain for chain lock. Door was full of bolts for bringing Brocken into I would guess. Hotel was non smoking but room across the hall was smoking cigarettes and pot stinking up the hall. Not hotels fault. Just gave bad first impression.

Checked in early so our things not baking in our sun exposed car. Immediately we noticed water spraying from under the bathroom sink. Even though the parking lot was empty, and it was just the beginning of their allowable check in time, we were told there was no other room available. I said, some people do not check in until later in the day, and you can have a plumber fix the problem before they arrive, but told no. While researching alternative hotels, a gentleman arrived and said he could fix it and would be right back. After half an hour he had not yet come back, so we took all our things back down the stairs (as there is no elevator) and went back to our family. Including travel time we lost over 2 hours with our grandchildren for nothing.

Chose this hotel due to its location near our family reunion, getting to see grandchildren for the first time in 2 years.

I guess the fact that the outside entrance was accessible to anyone even if they weren't staying there. We were told we had to use our key, but the door was always open. But that wouldn't prevent us from staying in the future.

The bed was great, shower wasn't bad at all. We were given clean towels and wash cloths each day, without asking which was great! Everyone was super nice

An Elevator! Room on third floor. Only one light in room worked. Could not open door with key 90% of time. Need to tell guests not to keep their key near their cellphone. No mirror in room. Only in bathroom.

Lights in the room were not working, we had to manage with just one lamp. Power outlets in the room weren't working either. Skimpy breakfast. No elevator. Worst of all, had to pay top dollar in its class for this hotel room. Absolutely not worth the money
