Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNo problems with this property. People can charge a lot more during tourist season in the Last Frontier.
This is a basic and economical hotel. It was clean and their breakfast had many choices. You get what you pay for but in Alaska, it is hard to find anything that is really worth the price you have to pay. I just wanted a quiet, clean place to sleep and that is what I got!

United States of AmericaWeather change, plans change but Keystone was willing to cancelled our reservations at the last moment fully refunding the last two nights. Not really a bad option.
Good place to stay if you're looking for a bed to sleep in and a shower to clean up. With so much to do in Valdez, who would want to hang out in their room. The Continental breakfast is fair and starts at 5:AM. Plenty of time to go on your charter fishing trip if that's what you came to do. Yes the rooms are small, but who wants to watch TV on their vacation?

United States of AmericaThe rooms were small and very hot. It was very much an old, outdated building. The hotel had us right next to a room with a loud child and even after complaining to the staff, the noise continued.
The price wasn’t bad. The hotel was located right in town.

United States of AmericaFor the only place in town that had room available, even booking a month out, ill have to say, it is a place to stay, and sleep out-of the weather. Thats about it. They advertise a continental breakfast every morning, the two mornings I was there, one they had a couple bags of frozen burritos from the local grocery store and the next, was mini muffins. Along with two options for cold cereal and juice if you were lucky. Trash cans in the eating area and outside the main lobby were either overflowing or empty with no liner. I watched employees walk by them that way numerous times. Shower head in my bathroom sprayed water from every angle and would soak the whole bathroom while taking a shower.
Room was clean.

United States of AmericaSome of the front desk staff seemed rude and disinterested in helping us with anything. We have stayed there for 2-3 years in a row and each time the trash cans outside remained overflowing with trash. Breakfast is a joke. Frozen burritos and a microwave is what passes for breakfast?🤣 In the twin bed room we stayed in, there is nothing in the room except the 2 twin beds. Not a table and not one single chair. We had to bring our lawn chairs in from the truck and they were soaking wet already from the rain. When you come in from a long day in the rain, you would at least like a warm dry chair to sit in and a small table to set your drink on. There were loud abnoxious guests partying above us every night. They kept us awake at night on a tuesday and wednesday night. I suspect they were seasonal workers in Valdez working for the fish canneries for the summer. The entire operation seemed to have a lack of effort and professionalism. The lack of breakfast is 1 thing but DONT ADVERTISE IT AS FREE BREAKFAST!! Because it is a complete joke. For the last 2 years we have had to go offsite to grab any kind of breakfast. Cant even scramble an egg? Cant see the trash overflowing on the sidewalk when you walk past it everyday for your smoke breaks? Complete lack of proper management at this property.
The custodian lady had very good customer service skills and was very helpful. Had plenty of hot water. Price was ok.

United States of AmericaThe initial part of checking in was a joke. The front desk personnel assigned me to a room that wasn't even cleaned. The room I did stay in had a strong scent of pine sol. There was no fridge or television. Those items should be basics for the rates they were charging. If I wanted no tv or fridge, I would go camping.
