Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room wasn’t great, the beds weren’t very comfy and the bathroom was weird although it did seem like they gave us a handicap room for some reason.
The location is great, a short walk to an awesome downtown area. The place is pretty nice and feels super safe.

The beds were a little small for being a queen size and a bit too hard. Also the pillows were a bit too flat for my liking.

Everything was great. One thing would be the ability to connect to the tv through your device and being able to stream. Not a game changer though.
Room was very comfortable and clean. Had a nice view of the back of the hotel and river. Location is great. Walking distance to the downtown. There is a free shuttle service that is awesome! Perfect for a little get away.

Upon arrival the front desk girl was very unpleasant but the following day the rest of the staff was very friendly.

The hot tub and pool area were excellent. In particular, Historic Folsom was in easy walking distance. I would highly recommend the Lake Natoma Inn.

Little or no sound proofing. You can hear people in the hall, above you, next to you, and below you easily. Lots of signs i room warning guest about extra charges if they take things or damage rooms. Plus a $250 up front charge on your credit card for incidentals. That translates to me as zero customer service and disrespect towards their customers.
Location is best in Folsom

Bathroom had poor lighting as a bulb was burnt out. The fan in the bathroom also did not work.
Location was great! Also enjoyed the bar / restaurant on main floor.

It smelled like an old hotel but nice in lobby, bar, pool area. TV signal had a few channels not clear.
It is close to old town Folsom. Close to walking/biking path.

We were happy with everything. I had read that the hotel was not clean, so I initially booked two emergency nights. It is clean. The rooms have everything you need desk, tv, fridge, hair dryer, coffee machine and microwave, iron and board.
The staff was incredibly professional and nice (Nancy, Ashley, Yatziri).This as a last minute trip due to family emergency. They helped us arrange laundry services, our college kids were able to do their homework in the business center. WiFi in the rooms and lobbies was very stable. Location is ideal, walking trails directly behind the hotel. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance, and some dining available in the hotel. Big clean well lit parking area directly in front of hotel and good door security in the evening.

Walls are paper thin. Getting out of elevator on the third floor is tight. Hot tub not hot enough to bother to use. Girl at front desk was brusque, business like, and not warm at all .

The halls and elevators could use some TLC, they were a bit outdated but it wasn't a problem. The pillows were kind of thin and small but if you stack them up they work just fine. Really a great stay.
Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The AC was awesome after a long hot day. Plus the value is unbeatable, very affordable. Location was great and the front staff was kind. Even the water pressure was good!

The AC in our room was funky and it either had to be on with cold air strongly blowing on my bed, or off completely to avoid the fan. But even then it kept coming on during the night even though the room felt muggy or a bit humid. The lighting in the bathroom is low and cannot be turned on or off from inside the bathroom, just outside the door. The bathroom also needs a fan!
The hotel is nice and the location is great. Breakfast was very good too.
