Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI'm in the habit of doing a room check to make sure nothing is left behind when I check out. On April 7th I forgot an expensive pair of boots. I called the hotel, and they found my boots in the room and told me I could pick them up at the front desk. I don't live in the area so I arranged for a friend to pick them up. When she went to get them, they had no boots. I've called the hotel almost daily to speak to the manager with no response. I've spoke with 2 employees who confirmed my boots were there, but they didn't know what happened to them but they had cameras and could check to see what happened to them. I finally spoke with the manager on May 1st. His name was Jay, who was rude as hell. He told me boots gone that they can't store stuff left behind, and they got thrown away and for me not to call back. Even though we have enjoyed several stays at the Lamp Liter and the staff has been great. We will never stay again. The manager is horrible and has no people skills. I am very disappointed that I am out of my favorite boots. I don't believe for one minute my boots were thrown away. Do a room check before leaving.

United States of AmericaThe TV Cable system didn’t have local or network channels. And no thermostat in room that we could find. Warm in room at night. There was a sliding door in room. But it was screwed shut. Just a one off switch that said heat/air. But it was a noisy fan
The grounds were very nice. Beautifully landscaped. We sat outside our room a lot just looking at flowers and trees. Room was nice

United States of AmericaThe weather was not warm enough to swim but there was geese poop in the pool, so that.... If I wanted to swim there is no way I would have jumped in.
I loved that this hotel was a little bit of paradise that contrasted with the freeway in front. The garden area was sweet. I liked the patio doors and option of two doors to enter and leave. The location was perfect for us.

United States of AmericaThe mattress, was sunken in! There was no real way to regulate the temperature outside of flipping a switch for heat, or pulling the chain of the ceiling fan.
Quiet, & actually had amenities (coffee, tea, and coffee pot). The room itself was rather spacious & I liked that the bathroom wasn’t open facing to the rest of the room.

United States of AmericaThere’s no breakfast, although that might change when the attached restaurant opens, $ included or not.
LLI is centrally located, along the road to Sequoia Park. It’s a favorite, with beautiful gardens in center, a lovely pool, and a new restaurant about to open. I stay here whenever I’m in town.

United States of AmericaReservation said "restaurant on site." No restaurant -- closed for awhile. Night clerk (Michelle) was not friendly or helpful. Had to drive on a highway to get food. Big pain, when arriving at 7pm in the dark and hungry for dinner. Two nightstand lamps in the room -- no overhead lighting -- impossible to read at night. Not upgraded, re lighting or places to charge devices. No Decaf coffee for the little pot. Also, no bar in the shower for stability, so we didn't use it. Ice machine was a very long walk from our room.
Dennis (day-time front desk clerk) was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He ensured we got the room we reserved and paid for. He had good ideas for restaurants and places to visit. Also, the courtyard gardens are gorgeous and worth a slow walk through. Also, Amanda gave us a tour of the cottages in the center. The place is old (1963) but retains much charm. Beds/pillows were very comfortable. Old pine furniture ("Thomasville" brand) was charming. Having a microwave and mini-fridge is helpful on a road trip. Nice flashback to the 20th century. New ownership. I'm intrigued by potential upgrades.
