You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff were great. They were courteous, well spoken, professional in appearance. The room itself was comfortable but it needed some maintenance work. Wall to floor trim had come loose and was hanging. The room itself was clean but could use a good attentive scrubbing of the vanity in the bathroom. The interior of the room and the building is in need of paint. The overall outside and hallway is well worn in appearance. In the hallway, floor tiles are broken and loose pieces need to be removed. Vacuuming is needed. Wall painting is needed.

United States of AmericaThis building is run down. Ice machines broken. Tiles missing in the floor. Shower faucet needed serious repair. There are a bunch of small things around the building that are going unaddressed and it's starting to look dilapidated. Kind of disappointing since I used to enjoy staying at the Lamplighter when I first found it 10 years ago.
The staff are friendly. Quite lovely. These people are the glue for the company, so they need to be recognized at this location for doing as well as they can considering the state of the hotel.

United States of Americabreakfast ends at 9. requested a hot tub room and smoking but not avail hot tub room for birthday maybe and we wouldn’t know if room was smoking no info given. hotel was dirty as hell! sheets not changed it looked like bc they had some pink stain. and behind tv was trash everywhere. it was gross when I checked in she didn’t reference my request or tell me anything about if my request was going to be denied or if the room was smoking. also should state time breakfast ends and maybe point to breakfast area and pool. I was very sad about the lack of info. and being in a back room in a fairly vacant hotel next to people who were in and out all night and cleaning people and maintenance seemed to stay walking by room even at the night. dogs were loud

United States of AmericaHalls were not clean. They should have ashtrays and trash cans out by the back entrance. Cigarette butts and trash every where. They allowed pets but didn't enforce or instruct where they should take the pets out to to go to the bathroom. Carpets in my room was very dirty. And it seemed like there was probably a housekeeping shortage. I was there two nights with no housekeeping.
Nice staff and the price was fair for conditions.

United States of AmericaIt didn’t look like the rooms get a very thorough cleaning, as there was a lot of dirt/dust on the exhaust fan in the bathroom and the floors in the room did not look like they had been swept. There was also permanent marker (kid drawing) on the lamp.
I liked that it had a pool and a hot tub!
