Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Broken hair dryer, broken tissue box, everything was not plugged in not even the fridge, Tv, lamp, there was a pack of condoms left in on the the drawers and a barbie, my parents room there heater did not work
The bed was comfy and the breakfast was good!

Nothing was very bad. It’s not the fanciest place ever but it did the job and was 100% worth it. Definitely would come back.
The value was great, and it met my expectations. The staff was very friendly as well. I’d stay again.

Restroom smelled like poo but was clean? There was a hair clip on the lamp from previous guest. So the room was not thoroughly cleaned prior. Main reason for selecting this location was the expected breakfast. Photos do not show actual breakfast. Nothing hot. No milk. Paid a little more compared to other hotels and was very disappointed.
Beds were comfortable.

When checking in, they surprised me with a $100 refundable damage fee. I had my mom's credit card which they took to check in, but refused to take for the $100 fee claiming she had to be there. I called my mom and she still refused. She was willing to strand me in that town for a $100 fee? I had to call friends I was meeting with to pay the $100 fee. Thanks Laurel Inn and Booking.com for embarrassing me on my trip. Booking.com for not advising of such a fee and Laurel Inn for embarrassing me. Will never return.

I didn’t like that’s it literally next to a bar.. so many people drinking and not safe people out there for family with children I wouldn’t recommend! We had a guy knocking at our door at night so I personally didn’t like the spot for having children around that hotel and being next to a bar . When we got there we thought it was a restaurant but turns out it was a bar!

Water bugs were present every night in shower, some other bugs were present in the window when I had first checked in, the room smelt like a hospital room

The room was dusty and didn’t smell clean. The bathtub was dirty. The roll out bed was dirty and uncomfortable. We couldn’t change the channel on the tv. Quality of items in the room was poor.
It was quiet and the queen beds were comfortable.

The room need more details to clean was a sofa dirty old whit food scraps and some dirty socks for other guest under the seat….the mattress need Remplacé is extremely to soft

Missed the continental breakfast; items were limited; didn't have decaf coffee; hardboiled eggs would have been nice since there were no hot buffet trays nor fresh fruits.

The room looked much more worn than in the pictures. It wasn't as clean as I expected. The pool was not well-kept and was dirty.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The property was easy to access. There were a microwave and bar fridge.

Not specific to this property (same thing with others), the absence of proper room ventilation, not sure if it is a safety issue but it is hard to find properly ventilated rooms where windows can be widely opened in order to renew with fresh air
Breakfast was included, being a plus.

That the appliances were not in working order . HIr dryer ect. The tv was not working when we checked in. The power went out because the breaker kept blowing and hey had to go reset like 3 times. Breakfast was great. Blessings
It was convenient. There is a lot of businesses that were close by.
