Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaInternet/wifi was almost unusable. Our room was charming but a bit cramped. We had to juggle power cords to get enough lights in the room
This is a lovely property, a charming old home with lots of antiques and gardens. We weren't there long enough to take it all in.

United States of AmericaThe Inn is centrally located in Lenox, about 7 minutes from Tanglewood where we were going to see Jackson Browne. Parking is in a small parking lot, or on the street in front fo the in. The Inn is a 19th century Tudor Manor House, and the family who have determined to accept the privilege of maintaining this step back in time are doing a wonderful job. That being said the guest has to remember that the facility is exactly that. Well appointed with art, literature, a grand piano (I love live music) and many antiquities. We did not venture on to the grounds, and it was a perfect time to do so, but... my loss. While we had Mr. Whistler's room we found it spacious, comfortable, even the mattress ,as I often find mattresses at a B&B uncomfortable this was great. It was a King size mattress and there was an ocean of space between my wife ,and myself, which she enjoyed. The room was clean, no dust bunnies under the bed or behind the cast iron radiator. The WiFi was difficult that night, but was working fine in the morning. Breakfast was simple, we requested french toast. We received two slices each on our plates along with syrup, juice, coffee, and a assortment of other sundry sweets, breads, cakes, teas, available for the taking. Most memorable about the breakfast was the friendly conversations that were had with the other guests, as you would expect in a bed and breakfast. An early riser I was downstairs snooping for and cup of coffee, where I met people with a similar mindset and we got right down to talking. The dining room was charming, as were all of the rooms that you could visit with others. At 8:00 serving time was great. About Lenox, it is a beautiful New England village, as you might expect in a story book. We did not have much time to explore, our early evening mission was to find dinner before going to the concert. Definitely Frankies!

United States of AmericaIt feels tired. While I think the housekeeping is fine, everything is old, and feels impregnated with dust. The antique bathroom fixtures still work, though the water runs constantly.
It has character. Each room is unique. Breakfast includes excellent omelets and a good variety of baked goods and fruit. It is about 1/2 mile from downtown Lenox. The owners are lovely people.

United States of AmericaThe African Room, which is away from the main inn, is large but odd. The decor was a mishmash and the carpentry work poor. There was an old nordic track stuffed in the corner. It just wasn’t an nice space.
The main inn seemed lovely but we stayed in a room above the carriage house which was a bit quirky.

United States of AmericaOur guest room #11 was around the side of the house off the porch, in a very tiny addition. Our guest room was tiny, the double bed was comfortable but there was no drawer space or place to sit except the bed. If it hadn't been pouring rain we might have walked outside to go sit in the main house parlor and hang out.
Whistler's Inn really feels like one of the authentic old Lenox homes and is an easy walk from town. It dates from 1865, and was made into a 14-room inn in the late 70s, showing its age nicely in a very well maintained package ... Now owned and run by family of the original owner. Lisa is helpful and nice, serving breakfast and doing the check-in tour. We liked the breakfast -- your choice of eggs, pancakes, French toast, available mornings in the very pretty parlor. Her parents are also very nice, full of stories and gossip about Lenox history, the artists who visit the area, and artists who live and work there now. We liked the suggestions they made for local sightseeing.

United States of AmericaWhile we expected (and got) a historic inn, we noticed quite a bit of deferred maintenance. For example, the window screens in our room were ill-fitting which allowed mosquitos and flies to enter, which had a detrimental effect on our enjoyment and sleep. While the price for the room may have been typical for Lenox, it seemed high for what we got.
The location was great - easy to get into town, but somehow shielded from noise. Easy to find parking. Breakfast was fine - it got better on our second (of three) mornings when we learned that hot options (eggs, omelettes) were available. The inn provided lots of options for dining: community style, or more private on the sun porch or outside. Both Joan and Lisa were very helpful with “local tips” for getting to and from Tanglewood, as well as where to park for easy egress.

United States of AmericaWe liked everything. There are not many outlets in the rooms which is understandable as the house was built a long time ago.
We liked the interior and design of this hotel. It felt like we were staying in a palace. The breakfast was amazing. It's not only the food was exceptional, but there was also music playing and the fireplace lit creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Guests could choose items for the breakfast (we were offered eggs or french toast) which are prepared to order. But more importantly, we liked the hospitality of the hosts, Lisa, and her parents. They were eager to answer all our questions about the area and gave recommendations of places to visit. It was very interesting to hear the history of the house and the residents who once occupied it. We spent amazing evenings sitting in the library drinking sherry and having wonderful conversations.
