Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI had a room on the ground floor facing the main road. Those windows are not mirrored so I spent 9 days with my curtains closed for privacy otherwise I would have been on full display for everyone to see. The layout of the room was very weird, I had no real closet and the only room I had to hang up clothes was an utility room with a huge air ventilation unit and no dresser in the room to put in smaller items so I had to put everything in my nightstand drawers who luckily were large enough. If you put the heating on (or aircon in summer) you will need earplugs because that ventilation system is LOUD. The furniture is also very very dated, especially the couch was very sat through but when I was there I saw signs that they where refurbishing the hotel so that may change.
I was in Seattle to attend several Hockey games at Climate Pledge Arena. The hotel is a 5min walk away and very close to restaurants and bars. The Space Needel is 10min walk and the whole area felt safe and nice even as a woman travelling alone. The hotel is old but has its own charm. I loved that the room had a small kitchen with a decent size fridge, coffee machine and utensils. The bed was super comfortable and the room, while dated in its furniture, was kept clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful, there are umbrellas to borrow and they are very helpful to give out information if needed. The hotel was quite pricey for what it offers but you pay for the location!

United States of AmericaThe shower at times didn’t have very hot water. One night was especially a challenge but then the last night was fine.
My corner room was filled with windows for incredible light and views! The staff were amazing. Always helpful and genuinely friendly! Felt like a studio city apartment, loved the space and high ceilings.

SwedenThe room was spacious, but not too well kept, the walls, floor, bathtub, etc. were very worn down. There were renovations going on, so these may be fixed. The fridge in the room was very loud (bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper).
The hotel is in walking distance from the uptown area (Space Needle, MPop, etc.) and the neighborhood seemed quiet.

United States of AmericaWe would have liked to have had some area rugs on the floor to quiet the squeeks. The hot water faucet in the kitchen did not emit any hot water. Also needed to have an extra blanket in the room for cold temps in late evening. The alcove room would also have benefited from a reading lamp where a sofa resided against a wall. There was no overhead light that we could see. Mattress on bed was stiff and board like which could have benefited from a layer of foam. My wife awoke with back and shoulder pains.
Spacious high ceilings. Roomy nice kitchen. Beautiful lobby and staircase with many framed paintings. Excellent location in walking distance to restaurants on main street. Very friendly staff and valet person!

United KingdomBathroom was a little unclean in some areas, i.e. lots of stray hairs in the bath and on the shelving unit, including the last guest’s discarded contact lenses. In fairness, these could have been missed spots given the size of the place. That aside, the rest of the room was really clean.
Welcoming and fantastic service from the staff; cool building and an excellent location for some really great dining spots. Just over a half-hour walk to Pike Place Market, so a nice stroll for a morning walk. Well connected to the airport with the bus route and connection to the train, only a moment’s walk from the hotel.

United States of AmericaMaintenance is a little behind. Paint & plaster needs touching up in spots. The hotel states that due to the pandemic, they only clean the rooms every 3 days. We stayed for 6 nights & no one ever cleaned our room.
The MarQueen retains its vintage charm. Located close to Seattle Center, the Key Arena & fantastic restaurants, you can’t find a better situated hotel.

United States of AmericaThe parking is challenging. Valet only, and it can be difficult to find an empty spot in front of the hotel to drop off your luggage and car. Plan ahead. There were only 2 sets of dinner plates, bowls, cups and silverware. I will bring extra next time.
I reserved this hotel to attend a concert at Climate Pledge Arena. We live locally, but wanted a fun night In Seattle. Only a 10 minute walk to Seattle Center. Felt safe. I loved having a kitchenette, so we could do a fun, pre-concert cocktail party with friends, and not worry about making a reservation at a restaurant. It was clean, spacious and quiet. We had a beautiful view of Puget Sound at sunset. Lovely furnishings. I would totally book this hotel again.
