Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We were on the side of the building near the freeway, it was very loud during the night. Other than that it was a wonderful place to stay.
Location was great. I was in town for a medial procedure and we were only 15 minutes from the facility but in a very safe part of town. Thank you :)

The bathroom was not very clean. There was dried urine at the base of the toilet.
Restaurants were the major draw. We ate here three times last visit to the area.

The sink would take a long time to drain. Clogged sink. Water kept leaking out on the cold water tap. Hallways smelled like cigarettes

The restaurant, and the speakeasy were excellent. The food and drinks were excellent. The room was comfortable and in the perfect location for what we needed. The staff was super friendly.

I had room 341 which overlooked the freeway, and it was VERY noisy. I will return to stay here again, but will request a room on the other side of the building.
The airport shuttle was excellent. The location being in Happy Valley was perfect for visiting relatives nearby. The room was very large and comfortable, and my proximity to the elevator and entrance in the back of the building was very convenient for me.

More shuttles to the airport availability. Upgrade the laundromat facilities.

Room service seems to need an upgrade. We ordered room service, the food overall was umm Ok but the cheesy potatoes were awful, potatoes cut in half with no cheese or spice...bland dry and tasteless. I bet they used last night potatoes instead of fresh.

Having to go to the Reception desk to sign the Check In form for the same room even though they allowed me to stay in the same room the second day when I initially signed in. I had two separate bookings at this hotel because I had cancelled one at another hotel so that I wouldn’t have to stand in line to check out.
Proximity to restaurants, mall and relatives. Plenty of parking. Feeling safe.

Had to switch rooms the day after we had checked in due to water leaking through the ceiling (in the bathroom), gave us a new room but offered no type of compensation. i,e. breakfast voucher.

When I arrived to check-in the woman at the counter let me stand at the window for at least 5 minutes without saying a word to me. She knew I was there and I waited to see how long it'd take to be acknowledged. I believe her name was Linda. There was a man who came by twice to grab some keys or something and he didn't bother to say hi or ask if I've been helped. Maybe that wasn't is responsibility to do so. Finally, another woman came by and saw me. She greeted me and I told her I was checking in. She said Linda can help and, as it turned out, all I had to do was take 4 steps to the right and apparently I would've been helped. Poor customer service in my opinion. Any time that I walked past the front counter there was never a friendly smile or anything along those lines. I had to get my room key fixed, because it quit working at one point. It almost seemed as if I was an inconvenience to the young man who re-scanned my key. I just got the feel as if the staff didn't really care too much for the guests. The room wasn't necessarily the cleanest. There was floss on the bathroom floor underneath the sink. Could've been dusted better. Some hair and spiderweb on the wall.
I liked the location. Shopping Mall and restaurants nearby.
