Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsIt is more suited to a couple than a family. Sleeping on the futon in the living room means that you have to go through the bedroom to go to the toilet or the kitchen.
Nice small apartment, close to French Quarter. You can walk to Bourbon Street in about 15 minutes during the day through Louis Armstrong Park, which closes at 7 in summer. An Uber back will only cost you about 7-12$. Very nice host who answers quickly if you have any questions.

United States of AmericaThis is a historic shotgun style house with original wood floors that act like a sounding board, therefore, you might hear your neighbors walking/talking in the next unit. But not even close to being annoying. Even though some neighborhood houses look neglected and you might encounter somewhat shady individuals after dark, the area is very safe, and parking nearby is always available. If you aren't already, you'll surely become a parallel parking pro.
Lloyd helped us to understand the history of this beautiful house and charming neighborhood. He also directed us to the local dives with delicious food and specific menu items that he loves. He was always available to answer our questions and was very proactive to make our stay enjoyable and seamless. We enjoyed walking with our dog to the French Quarter through the relaxing Louis Armstrong park. We even experienced a typical New Orleans funeral down the block. We came to NOLA for a family wedding and had fun participating in a second line with a jazz band, a similar lively procession like the aforementioned funeral. Locals surely know how to live... and die! Overall, we had a great Big Easy experience. We'll definitely be back.

AustraliaWhen we arrived we couldn't find any parking in area as there was a parade happening. With the owner Lloyd's help we found parking at the other side of park. When the parade moved on we got parking in front of the house and didn't move it at all until we left.
Quaint old style New Orleans cottage. Spacious, comfortable bed, washer and dryer. Huge fridge. Even a backyard. Well provisioned with basic supplies such as tea, sugar, water. The house is about a 30.min walk from Frenchman Street and about 15min walk to Bourbon Street and it is a $10 AUD Uber home. I rang the owner Lloyd when I arrived who helped us sort the parking issue and also gave us the keyless entry code.

United States of AmericaThe shower curtain had a little bit of mold at the bottom. The shower head had some mineral deposit that interfered with the effectiveness of the very nice shower head.
The location is a short car ride to most attractions. The bed is great! The host is available, accommodating, and friendly. The neighborhood is quiet. Cold bottled water and a coffee maker awaited our arrival. The kitchen is well equipped and clean.

United KingdomThe accommodation was lovely, the only thing to mention (and it really is a small point) is the lack of lighting in the bedroom, so putting on make-up can be a little tricky.
The location was terrific. An easy walk into town during the day, but warned by locals to not walk it late at night (after a few drinks as you need your wits about you, as with most places). Shout out to Andre for helping us get in late at night, and generally being available for any questions. The area is lovely, with a number of bars and very friendly locals.
