Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWalls were thin and could hear the neighbors slam their doors.
We stayed in the deluxe king suite...the Royal Ponciana. It was so cute, spacious, and clean. It was right beside the pool and hot tub. The breakfast every morning and happy hour every night was great, too.

The room was very clean when we arrived. It was just fantastic. Spacious and well decorated. The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything but far enough away to be quiet and secluded.

United States of AmericaThe only complaint I would have is the cost for daily parking is a bit excessive.
Location was great! It is located on a quiet street off of the main road. The staff was very friendly and available if we had questions.

United States of AmericaThe Air condition unit in our room seemed to turn off and the room would get warm when we would shower and at night when we would sleep.
Breakfast was a nice feature. It was located in the main lobby. But they had trays which made it easy to transport to your room.

BrazilPaid parking lot. In the city is very necessary because there is no place to park near the center. The breakfast could have more options for the price we paid.
The location is amazing! Short walk from the main part of key west. The pool looked great and the breakfast was tasty. Room was big

United States of AmericaFirstly, the lady at the front desk doesn't seem to like her job very much. Considering the room is pricey, I would like to be greeted with at least a friendly demeanor. I felt like an intruder and a nuisance, and I refrained from asking any questions I would usually ask (what restaurants run the area do you recommend? Which is the best company for sightseeing trips? Any sort of local recommendations) since I felt I would just make her upset. I know not every day can be your best at work, but we saw her over a few days (two nights) and it seemed to be her natural attitude. She could at least fake a smile every once in a while. Next, the soap and shampoo in the dispensers in our shower had spoiled (I didn't know that was possible) and it stank like rotten eggs! When telling housekeeping about it they did come quickly and replaced shampoo, soap, and conditioner, which solved the problem, but then they skipped cleaning the room entirely. I did tip both housekeeping staff $5 each for their efforts. Maybe that's not enough anymore these days. Parking is $20 / day on their grounds, in addition to the room charge. It felt a bit like an additional squeeze.
The location is fantastic, very close to Duval Street and to everything old town Key West. Can't beat that. The architecture is nice, typical Key West style. Jacuzzi and pool are open 24 hours. Breakfast sin't mind-blowing, but sufficient. Coffee, tea and water are available all day until 10pm which is when the front desk closes. Rooms are spacious, even the small one is bigger than typical European hotel rooms. There's a Happy Hour every day from 5-7pm with free wine, cheese, and nuts.

United States of AmericaThe extra charge for parking as I was on a motorcycle which could fit anywhere. And I was not told in advance there was a charge.
It was one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed. It was close to everything we wanted to see and do . The property was very well maintained and the landscaping was beautiful.

United States of AmericaSometimes neighbors could be heard through the walls/floors from our room. We were on the first floor and could hear our neighbors above us walking around (at all hours). The temperature of the jacuzzi was too hot! I was really looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub, but it was so hot that it was painful to get in, and I couldn't stay in longer than 5-10 minutes before the discomfort provoked me to get out. Other guests at the hotel confirmed this opinion as we exchanged commiserating stories of attempting to enjoy the Jacuzzi.
The staff was respectful, professional and personable. The provided breakfast was always fresh and included a nice variety, which also helped cut down on expenditures because we didn't have to dine out every morning. The pool and the lounge chairs beside the pool were wonderful with a nice variety of sun and shade. The property is very nicely landscaped and maintained. Our room was well kept and clean. With Duval Street being the main tourist hub, this location was perfectly located a block away from the middle of the Duval area! We very easily made our way to the East edge of the island to enjoy the sunrise near the Southernmost pier, enjoyed some souvenir shopping, and were able to conveniently return back to Paradise inn to drop off our newly acquired trinkets, or rest up with a midday nap or an afternoon dip in the pool! We just as easily made our way to Mallory Square on the West edge of the island to enjoy the sunset. We never felt unsafe walking back to our room late at night.
