We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of America1) The TV didn’t work the 2nd night. 2) The gate to the entrance to our room didn’t work. 3) The bike rack with the electric bike didn’t open. 4) if we wanted a refill of decaf coffee at breakfast, we would have to pay for a 2nd cup.
Room was very comfortable and appeals. The decor was lovely and modern. The lobby was very attractively done in a funky art deco style. The outdoor spaces were very beautiful and relaxing.

Both pools were also freezing - my kids wouldn’t even play in them and they love water! pool heating would be amazing.

United States of AmericaI stayed for two nights. These are some silly details that would be an easy to fix from hotels side, but tainted our experience and I won’t come back. Some of the front desk staff was not knowledgeable and made us feel like we, as guest, were an inconvenience to them. they had better things to do than to talk to us. WiFi password provided was wrong. The King room I booked based on photos on booking.com did not look like room we actually got. The minibar was set up to take up the whole wardrobe closet (even the mini fridge was inside the closet), so you could not put clothes or anything else in there. No coffee maker in the room, and when I requested one, there was nowhere to put it other than the floor. I was told it was supposed to be on the desk. But our room had no desk! Hotel had no regular coffee pods left when I was there so they supplied me with only decaf - which if you want coffee for the AM, decaf is useless. I stopped by the front desk a few times to inquire about different things and one time about that the fact that the coffee maker could not even fit made me feel like maybe I was in the wrong room.. I wanted to make sure that I was not paying for a king room and was actually staying in a make shift room made for overflow. I was informed the layout of many rooms in the older buildings are not ideal, but they were not allowed to change it based on building rules and restrictions and hotel was fully booked and I would have to come back and ask front desk tomorrow to move because the staff that was currently working were all gonna be off tomorrow, as this Thursday night was their “Friday”. WTW?! the fact that building restrictions prevents you from having a king room fit o coffee maker is NOT what I need to hear and that staff rotates is not my problem. communicate with your team and take care of it and if the room can’t fit stuff, change the description and let people know what they are paying for!

United KingdomThe air con was quite noisy and the doors to the rooms aren’t very soundproof. The lift was a bit small and sometimes didn’t work (the outer door needs to be closed quite hard to ensure it will work) but the staff did help with this.
A great location and a beautiful, art deco hotel across the road from the beach. It’s not amongst the really noisy hotels so perfect for chilling out. Staff were lovely and bikes are available which were great for exploring. Brilliant hotel to stay for a South Beach break.
