Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaPool closed, hot tub closed, we were hoping to use one or both. Resort is difficult to find without GPS, no signs, sits behind museum in downtown Taos.
Room space - very spacious, well-equipped, Kitchen availability a plus, although would like to be able to do that in the room, instead of going back and forth to the kitchen.

United States of AmericaCan’t think of anything.
The location was great - close to town, short drive to ski. I loved the room and the in-room kitchen facilities as well as the fire places downstairs. The Murphy bed was very comfortable. Never heard a sound from another room or even from the hall.

United States of AmericaNothing.
This is the best place to stay in Taos! Easy to walk everywhere, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the building itself is beautiful, with woodwork made in the 30s by students of Nicolai Fechin. It’s behind the Fechin house, secluded & peaceful. Not super cheap, but very reasonably priced.

United States of AmericaThe inner shower curtain did not look very clean it was yellow, the drain was full of a lot of hair after removing it myself the drain was ok and the shower head was all full of build up from the water deposits after scraping off the build up the water came out better. Last the coffee maker still had coffee grins in it from the last people in the room.
We we're only told that coffee was available?!?

United States of AmericaThe city of Taos has some of the worst drinking water I've ever tasted. It tasted like it came out of a chlorine pool. I'm a little biased as I have a well but they only had one container of water near the coffee station and they did not refill that during the day so I was stuck to buy bottled water which I really didn't want to go to the store as I was busy with a workshop. I think they should have enough water for people to fill their water bottles for the day and have a picture of water in their rooms as I couldn't even make a cup of tea as the water taste is so bad. They were doing construction but they hardly worked when I was there on the pool so that really wasn't a problem other than looking at it boarded up.
I love the location which was so quiet at night as it is back behind a beautiful small museum. It was close to a lot of good restaurants and the main part of Taos. I so enjoyed walking the area. The staff was very nice and helpful. I did enjoy the small kitchen and sitting area in my room and a patio outside as the weather was gorgeous while I was there

United States of AmericaThe motel name I booked under was not the same as on the signage . The lettering on the signage was small and long hand, hard to read. They changed a damage deposit of 250.00$,
There was no breakfast but coffee was good, the staff was friendly and helpful, laundry facilities were convenient and free, parking was adequate, room was well appointed with small kitchen area and appliances. Convenient location.

United KingdomThe pool was not open. The first photo on Booking.com of this place was of the pool, but the pool was not open for our stay, and would be out of action for some time.
Good standard of accommodation, although studio room is quite small. Enjoyed our stay here, and a good base to explore Taos and the wider area.

Australianot sure why they thought a Murphy bed was required as room had plenty of room with bed down. we thought the design of room was compromised to fit in the Murphy bed. it was a very dark room, both small points as we enjoyed our stay.
the gym was good brand new weight machine and cardio options. spacious room and comfortable bed. reception was spacious and appealing. staff pleasant and efficient, we didn’t have to take out garbage, thus may have been a covid thing.
