Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of Americathe tv was not properly set up when I got there - like it was left abandoned halfway through tech work. the remote control for the tv had terrible buttons and poor response time between pushing the button and seeing it affect what was on screen. basically, there’s no in-room entertainment unless you bring your own.
there was convenience, there was quiet, there was public, there was private. I spent an entire weekend here and never left the building. And I didn’t even get around to everything available.

United States of AmericaSmall things like the bathtub stopper didn't work and made some noise, I had to request maintenance and they were literally planning to replace the stopper. Iron didn't work. The room's size was uneven, some bigger some smaller, I got smaller my family member got bigger (same price). I had street noise and commercial lights. I had to ask to move to another room and was moved. Overall, I had higher expectations and impeccable amenities.

JapanI'm not sure if this is a common practice here or if we just got unlucky, but we ran into a lot of issues during our stay. The bathtub didn't work for the first 4 days and they only finally came up to fix it 2 hours before our checkout. On Friday morning (between 6am all the way up until 10am) the front desk was unreachable. We would try calling from the in-room phones and they would never answer. This happened several times throughout the stay, and ultimately we were never able to get a hold of them. Overall I was a bit surprised at the quality of service since I've stayed here in the past. Maybe things have just changed since my last visit or I was just unlucky.
Nice location with a generally comfortable room.

TurkeyI came to Ritz Carlton LA Downtown Hotel 3 days ago for business meetings. I choose that hotel, because this is Ritz Carlton, 5 star hotel, international chain, high class service hotel. But end of the day it was terrible experience for me. I pay it roughly $2.000 but I get less than $200 service. All restaurants and bars are closed. Don’t have any place for sitting, working and making meetings. I choose this hotel for make my meetings with my guests but unfortunately I went to Starbucks. It was terrible. SPA is working 2-3 days just a few hours. I try to go to SPA 3 times but unfortunately I didn’t go. Room Dining close at the midnight. All mini bars are empty. Just put the 2 bottle of water. Last night, there was a very strong toilet smell from the air conditioner in my room. It was unbelievable smell like a public toilet. Also yesterday started Construction at Marriott all Lobby. It was terrible too. Lastly today, the water was cut off in the room. Then the yellow dirty water came. Then the hot water went out and the cold water came out. I had to take a shower with cold water. It was a complete disaster. My whole trip, all my plans were ruined because of your hotel bad service. I’m travelling a lot. Normally I stays mostly Four Season Hotels. I am very sorry for choosing you. I have never had such a disgusting experience in my life. You devastated me for three days. All my morale is broken, my motivation is destroyed. All my business went wrong. Is it the ritz carlton again, never! It was the worst trip of my life.

Key cards for the room did not work properly. Had to have staff escort me to the room every time I needed to go back to the room. It took them hours to fix the problem. Was late for dinner and made all other plans for the night haywire.

RussiaThis is the first time I am writing a review for booking. The worst Ritz Carlton I've been to. Terrible service. I was late for an hour with departure - they removed me as if in half a day The staff spoke arrogantly to me. This is not Ritz Carlson. This is a 3 star hotel. I'm a Ritz Carlton fan, but this one is the worst one I've been
