Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaTV was a little small, not the biggest of deals but would have been nice having a better set up for the nightly cost. The bathroom was a bit small. Fine for a hotel, but with the price of the room felt like I was surprised by the size.
View was great. Cool being able to see the city. I felt like the room overall was comfortable.

United States of AmericaWe booked a river-view room but were given a "partial river-view" room! It would be nice to receive what we booked. I reported it to the desk on departure but no attempt at any compensation was made by the desk agent. While it is not the fault of the hotel, I am floored by the $71-78 additional taxes and fees per night. The bed was too soft leading to quite a kink lying on ones back or side.
The location was great - right next to the Charles River with paths and a green space between the hotel and the river bank. The hotel was clean and well managed. While the parking was listed at an outrageous $40/night (luckily no valet costing an extra tip), we had no problem getting free parting along the road on the river side of the hotel. (Note to get this you have to go to the hotels back entrance in the river side.)

United States of AmericaThe light in the closet came on and off for no reason. The hot water took a long time to reach the faucet. It was difficult to figure out how to lower the blind. The control was next to the bed and marked “drapes”
The bed was comfortable. The location was convenient. I liked the walking path along the river. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

United States of AmericaUpon arrival staff was not friendly. They did their job, but for $800/night I’d expect someone a little friendlier. Same with the attendant in the garage. Everyone just seemed like they were having a bad day. Bellman at the front door was the only staff who smiled at me. Elevator was down, so one elevator for our side of the hotel led to delays. We were on the 4th floor and several times had to wait and push the button a 2nd time bc when the doors would open, the elevator was full.
Pool, location, robe in room to walk to pool, cider and apples was a really nice touch

GeorgiaWe paid an abnormally high price for 2 nights. This hotel is definitely not worth $500 a night. It was not clean. The elevator was dirty. The carpets in the lobby were very dirty. Also, when purchasing with booking, it was indicated that all taxes were included in the price, however, additional taxes were charged to us during checkout. In short, the price and quality did not match.
Parking. We had to change room, which they did without any problems.
