Little flexibility for cooking for non-vegan people, there are house rules, however as a visitor I believe some flexibility should be allowed.

I loved the location, very quiet to be in NYC. Easily reachable from the metro, walking distance to a few good places to eat.

The location is about an eight minute walk to the subway, so it was very convenient. However, you should know that this part of New York is a bit gritty. As well, unfortunately, both yoga classes, and the included breakfast have not been available since the start of Covid and therefore someone is on site only during limited hours. However, when contacted, they were helpful.

I came with my two granddaughters for a long weekend in New York. The Sanctuary suited our group. It was helpful having a kitchen as we ate breakfast in each morning. As well, there was a small private patio and as the weather was great, we usually ate outside. The place was very quiet and the beds were comfortable.

Cannot believe we found a deal like this in Mahattan. Nice room for a hotel in general, with our own patio and a kitchen! Absolutely exception considering that it's in the middle of Manhattan. And for the price it's an absolute steal. Pretty good location, near Essex Market and a train station. Staff was super friendly and responsive to messages. Would absolutely stay again.

We were looking for a room for a few nights after staying in another hotel in midtown manhattan, and we were lucky to find availability at the Sanctuary NYC retreat. The area (in lower east end) is awesome: it is very lively with a metro station very close with a big choice of options for good food (restaurants and take-away, some of them even available quite late).The room was very clean, comfortable, and convenient for a family (the children could sleep on the sofa bed). We enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the hotel. The assistant manager, Kaileigh, was very kind, helpful and accommodating. We really appreciated our stay!

Nothing serious, but absence of staff to ask questions. Although the property felt safe at all times. Our balcony was welcome, but was noisy due to all surrounding ac units.

Great location, quiet. even though the property is in a bustling residential neighbourhood, it was very calm. clean and tidy, although a little cramped for 3 people.

We could hear some noise from the corridor and another rooms, but it wasn't too bothering.

Great place to stay! location is amazing, in the middle of many bars, cafes and restaurants. It was our favorite area to stay in NYC. The staff was also great, friendly, flexible and helpful. We enjoyed staying there and we will definitely try to stay again when coming again to NYC.

What a fantastic surprise! The room (suite? apartment?) was very large and had a bunch of amenities, including a full kitchen, which was very useful to have to store food and just feel at home when I needed a cup or plate. Did I mention the room can with a large patio balcony? This became a little oasis with the hustle of NYC! The vibe of the place was also quite zen. Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Bed and bedding were comfy, and I was able to do work effectively on the desk in the room. Also, excellent location! A fantastic stay for unbelievable value!

I would suggest replacing small bottles with shampoo etc. with larger ones that can be refilled by your staff. In my opinion it’s more environment friendly :)

The street outside the windows facing Stanton could be a bit loud in the morning, and the heating unit made a lot of noise when in use, but these were minor issues that didn’t cause any real discomfort.

The location of this property was fantastic. Located in the lower east side, it was a quick walk to the subway to reach other parts of the city, or an easy walk to explore the surrounding neighborhood. The hotel was mostly quiet and the staff was extremely helpful! Even though we did a late self check in, the process was stress free, and very simple.
