Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Set back off the main road, their signage is hidden down the alley between two adjacent stores, with a little effort, not hard to find.

Bed was hard. Pillows were completely flat And they would not provide others or additional. No coffee. Fridge froze everything we had.

It’s all really nice but would be good to have charging ports for your devices.

The painting in the room needs improvement.
Location was perfect to get to concert and restaurants. The room was bigger than I thought. Bed was extremely comfy and plenty of blankets.

We stayed at the Budget INN At The Heavenly Gondola for three nights and were very pleased with the accommodations. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The best part was that the room was soundproofed so we didn't have to listen to any noise from the street or the other guests.

I forgot my rings (engagement and family ring) they stole them. Do not want to return them, said they found nothing. That was the only place that I stopped by in Lake Tahoe

The room was filthy, and the lighting was terrible. I couldn't even see my own feet, and I wear size 17 shoes(joke). The towel had a lipstick stain, and the pillow stank and was stained. When I mentioned the lipstick stain to the receptionist, she simply said, "Don't worry, I have a couple extra towels for you." My jaw dropped to the floor like one of Mike Tyson's knockout blows. My ankles have mosquito bite marks, so it's conceivable it has carpet flees. One thing I should add is that the shower non-slip mat is filthy and greasy. Modern day central HVAC, the fan is mounted between the window and the door.

Very dirty and the staff very rude and the cleaner guy lives on the property and our room was by his door and he kept going in and out all night.
Close to strip, but it’s a run down motel. No AC just a fan 🤨

No heat, no coffee maker, no closet. WAY OVERPRICED for the room!
The staff were very kind and friendly. I paid $334.88 for this room. It didn't even have heat. No coffee maker. No closet to hang clothes. For the amount of money I paid, this room should have been way nicer. It was not represented on the website correctly. This should have been $100 room tops. Very disappointed.
