We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

United States of AmericaI had to wait 30 minutes into I was aloud to check in my hotel when I arrive because there was no room ready. Also, my curtains did not work. Therefore the curtains was down the entire stay, which prevented sunlight from entering the room. The shower had previously soap stains from the previous person before me and there were no wash clothes in my room.
I like that the property was kid friendly and had activities that parents can do as well.

United States of AmericaThe jacuzzi in the room did not work, the fireplace did not work, I called 2 times for sheets, blankets and pillows for the side bed and never received them. Had to drive to the front desk and ask again bcz no one was answering the phone at the front desk. Very unorganized front desk.
Breakfast was ok, we ate there bcz it was free. We waited 1hour to check in at 9:30pm. There were so many people there complaining about the switch of rooms bcz Booking.com overbooked the rooms and they had to place people all over the place.

Also left an item and called the resort a few hours after check out and no one would go to the room to check for item. They only provided website for lost and found and cleaning staff did not turn in item. Dishonest cleaning staff.

Staff were not friendly. I requested a cot early in the evening. I returned to my room around midnight and there was no cot. When I called I was told I would have to wait. I was hung up on. I called back multiple times and finally got a person. I was told I would have to wait a couple of hours. I had to fight to get a cot so we could lay down and go to sleep. It took about an hour but we were finally sent our cot. It was after 1 in the morning.

United States of AmericaThe lack of staff, the cleanliness of the pool lack of up keep, no towels, I realize it may be off season but That doesn't excuse the lack of friendliness by staff, or the lack of house keeping. When we got to our room there were only 4 towels no wash or face clothes, no soap for dishes, no regular coffee for coffee maker whose filter basket was filthy, the window shade broke when I pulled it down, however there was no one to complain to because they don't answer the phone and are never at the desk. The resort has a lack of restaurants, the 1 bar they did have opened at 4 and closed at 9, as did the food court and coffee bar.

United States of AmericaWe reserved a room in the lodge it is our favorite location on this property although the renovations were nice the issue was that the door that connects the two rooms is not well insulated and we could hear the neighbors talking like they were in the room with us. Additionally, they were early risers and had children so we were woke up every morning at the crack of dawn, we are on vacation and would have liked to get up at a time of our choosing. Furthermore the pool and jacuzzi at the lodge were closed and this was not stated when we booked the room had it been we would have made other accommodations because getting dressed up and driving all the way to the town center to use the pool and jacuzzi was to say the least not ideal, one of the main reasons we like the lodge is that it is usually quieter and the pool and jacuzzi is not usually as crowded as the one in town center and walking back up to your room after swimming is more desirable than having to change cloths get in your car and drive back to our room. Although we have been a regular at Split Rock for the last 5 years after this stay and the previous one in 2022 where we booked a queen room in town center (because the Lodge was full) and when we arrived they only had a room with two single beds available after we stated that this was not the room that we paid for we were told that they were overbooked and they would send someone up to push the two single beds together needless to say it was not very comfortable. Me and my wife are considering weather or not we will continue our annual trip to Split Rock going forward.
We liked the water park being close and the location is great it is one of our favorite winter getaways we come once a year.
