What I like about starlight valley Inn, is that the rooms are cozy with a comfortable bed, good heating/air conditioning, a mini fridge, and there was cable, which hotels that I've stayed at didn't even offer. My complaints are that while I was given a card key to open my room door, the scanner did not work. My door was always unlocked and I did not need to scan my card key to open my door (huge safety concern). The toilet had drops of urine on it, which I took upon myself to clean. I was given 2 towels, but no wash cloths. The internet connection here is very poor. You will be relying on your phones mobile data or a Hotspot. Staff were mutual, neither rude but not happy either. Not welcoming and seem to just rush people along. It's more of a motel. I paid about the same price for an inn in seattle which had breakfast included.

Once we got the TV working, they only had 1 operational channel which was a kid's channel. Our room was next to the floor's microwave, and it was strange to have strangers using the microwave right outside our door.

Room and bathroom were clean. We had some issues with the TV remote, for which the staff was very helpful. It's not too far from the main city, and we did not feel unsafe.

I didn’t like that the property didn’t have the TV working or the remote control and when I called to let them know, the man was rude to me and hung up the phone. He said there was no one to go out there and fix it. I was just letting him know that the TV and the remote control we’re not in working order.

When I extended my stay to the next day, the lady working at the desk told me I needed to go back and get my ID, despite having already shown it to the young man who initially checked me in the day before. She forgot to return my ID after I checked in, and I didn't realize this until a bit later in the day. I panicked thinking I had lost it, and when I went to the front desk to retrieve it, I was at first told that there was no ID there. Then when I insisted they check for it, they found it and gave it back to me. It's a fairly minor complaint, but I did think it was rather odd that they asked for my ID twice. I also think the $50 deposit was unnecessary, considering the rooms could have been cleaner. The sheets appeared as if they'd been used, but luckily I'd thought to bring my own blanket with me and just stopped the sheets and used that one for sleeping.

The young man who checked me in and addressed my concerns was most professional. The location is a pretty one atop a sunny hill, so I was able to take some great photos of the surrounding area. This was my first time being in LA.

it was not clean, the matrasse was really weird kinda felt like it was older than i am, the toilettpaper was super thin, it didnt have a hairdryer, the window looked like as if it wasnt cleaned for ages, the coffee from the coffee maschine was horrible, the towel had brown stains worst of all: sometimes the neighbour were very loud even after 12pm and screamed and had a fight… maybe there stays someone permanentaly which makes very loud noises regularely because other reviews wrote as well about loud neighbours that had verbal fights during late hours…

Even though the towels had been washed they still had stains and are old and should be replaced with new ones. Comforter also had cigarette burns.
