We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThere was nobody at reception when we arrived at 4.50pm - had to wait 10 minutes to check in. Then the toilet in the room was blocked (but cleared by the receptionist). WiFi didn’t work at all in the room; there was some WiFi at the reception lobby, but very slow. Included “breakfast” was minimal - just toast and coffee, and a few very small one-inch doughnuts.

United States of AmericaIf there was suppose to be a hair dryer, I never found one. We could hear the people upstairs when they walked around their room. Walls are pretty thin here. New updated bedspreads/quilt would go a long way.
Loved that they partner with the restaurant across the street for a discount on your food (which was excellent!) The staff there were very friendly. Like that a microwave and refrigerator comes with the room.

United States of AmericaThere aren't many places to eat in town. We also stayed on a Sunday and being a small town, food places closed very early. We had gas station food for dinner. Plan accordingly if you stay here.
Breakfast was just your basic continental breakfast. The pool was non functional when we stayed. The outside of the building was run down and not upkept however the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The location was very close to the Badlands. I would stay here again.

No one answered any phone calls from both hotel and Booking.com. Nobody’s responded to my messaging both the hotel and Booking.com. You need to vet your properties at Booking.com. I want to refund and I should be getting some compensation for having to go down the road, and find a more expensive hotel late at night

United States of AmericaThere was nothing about the place that was acceptable. It was dirty, desk clerk not very friendly, the room. Was FULL of flies. Clerk was rude to my grandchildren when they asked for the wifi password to be written more clearly (it never did work due to her NOT re-writing it). The outside had tall weeds and very u acceptable curb appeal. THE ONLY REASON WE STAYED was because it was non-refundable (I had made reservations online after a long day of traveling and I was tired). I would NEVER recommend this nasty filthy place!!!! United States of America70’s vibe but not in good way. Very dark and smells icky-probably cleaner. Suspect bedbugs cause both of us woke up with lots of bites. Only a couple of the many lamps worked, making it depressing. Staff did bare minimum. “Breakfast” was a single bagel, coffee no milk or creamer, and a pack of mini powdered donuts and encouragement to go across the street to the diner. Picture show pool but looks like no plans to fix it. Should’ve been ½ the price charged
