Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWhen I chose the room I was under the impression that the second bed was not a sofa bed. Also, if the sofa bed was longer and more comfortable it would have been fine, but it sagged, was too short and very squeaky when my daughter turned.
Everything was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the great location and the gardens. Also, the breakfast pastries were great from Goodlife Cafe. Last, our queen bed was comfortable.

United States of AmericaWe stayed in Sears Tower. The layout is strange because of how it was arranged. Bed by the kitchen. Kitchen is very bare bones but it worked for us.
Very well located in the village. Quiet, except we could hear the entertainment from next door. One night it was a pleasure though. One bed was very comfy, the one by the kitchen, not so much.

United States of AmericaApple cottage, the stove is NOT leveled, and they used generic burner trays that don't fit so cooking eggs and most everything is a pain. Easy fix, but......

United States of AmericaThe room was very dated and the town was depressing. It seems like a sad place to live. The staff made a huge deal about free muffins which weren't that impressive.
The bed was super comfy and the coffee in the room was yummy.

United KingdomDon't expect super-modern luxury, it's not that kind of place. Accessing the spa by going out the front of the house, round the side and down the back, in a robe and in the drizzle, was - well, an adventure I suppose.
Somewhere between 'quirky' and 'homely', so I guess that must be 'quomely'. Comfortable bed, excellent muffins for breakfast, well located for strolling round the town or headlands.

United KingdomThe kitchen could have been a little better equipped (only a microwave available). We found preparing food a little tricky which was a shame as the local supermarket offered so much good produce. A combi oven would have been ideal.
A quirky little place which seems to fit in with the rest of Mendocino, a charming village. Breakfast was freshly baked muffins delivered to your door in the morning, a lovely touch.

BrazilCould offer breakfast.
Inn is very nice and well located. Have't seen anybody from staff, but everything worked well. Keys were waiting in a box and we could enter without problems. They don't serve breakfast, but bring tasty muffins to the door. The coffee machine in the room helps prepare a simple breakfast. It offers a very nice spa, with sauna and a hot tube and the room is very nice.

The towels and sheets/ bedding were wonderful compared to 95%of places I've stayed, including 5 star resorts. The muffins in the morning are out of this world!

United States of AmericaNot their fault, but ants were very active so everything had to go in the little refrigerator.
Location was great. The Apple Cottage provided a lot of privacy. We brought our two dogs and they provided towels and sheets to cover where the dogs may be. Also grassy area for the dogs and some snacks for them, more accommodating than most places for pets. We are vegans, so they had a nice chia pudding with fruit on top instead of muffins, nice touch.

United States of AmericaThe muffins were delicious and gluten free; the tower was cool and fun; very comfy bed; and the staff was so helpful with my pup. The redwood tower is larger than many apartments I have lived in--it's basically a whole house to yourself.
