Wish I had known that a car would have been helpful as there is no shuttle and the smart bus only runs a few times per day. If you take the bus in the morning you either have to return at noon or wait until 5p.m. Also the weekend bus schedule is even more limited and I ended up having to forgo dinner on the night I arrived as I couldn't figure out a way to food. (I survived, lol) An on-site restaurant and shuttle service would make a big difference!

Breakfast was great although it could have been served a little earlier. 7:30 for breakfast if you are taking the smart bus is rushed! Really liked the sandwiches and the oatmeal was gluten and dairy free (yay).

The hostel building looks like a lodge and blends in very well with the surroundings. It's very cozy and clean. I private rooms are large und has a balcony or a terrace with a view to the woods.

The location is a bit in the middle of nowhere. But the hostel is so exceptional that it doesn't really matter.

First time I've ever found a hostel of that quality, super cosy and fancy. The stuff is also very nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious even if with bunk beds.

Spotlessly clean. Very helpful manager. Fantastic breakfast. Nice lounge area. Note that hostel is just outside Placerville and not actually in Telluride - quieter and cheaper!

Not sure what the comment about a "mosquito net" meant. The refrigerator was to tiny to chill even the most modest bottle of juice or wine. TV required special assistance from the staff and only showed one channel full-screen. Bed was comfortable. Shower, also needed instruction to work (posted on the back of the door to the entire room).

We selected this 'Hostel" due to it's location near Telluride for a one night stay. We did end up with a very comfortable room with a king-bed and private bath. It was however on the second floor, way in the back with a balcony (but looking over a weed patch). It was very quiet and a breakfast was included.

The shower curtain was a little dirty... not a big deal, but it's an easy fix - so I would highly recommend keeping them looking like new. Also, breakfast started too late for us. We were on our way to Blues & Brews and needed to leave at 6:30 am, so we missed out. Maybe have grab & go breakfast for festival goers (e.g., breakfast burritos, muffins, coffee, etc.)?

We had a great stay, and Rae (front desk) was very friendly & super helpful. The room was clean & cozy. We'll be back next year for sure!

There was a previous patron’s swim trunks left in the room, plus our body wash dispenser in the shower didn’t work. Otherwise a very good stay.

I drove up to the property late at night, and there was no lighting to indicate I was at the driveway, which was very difficult and a busy curvy Mountain Road

Other guests in the room snoring, getting up multiple times for the bathroom, or constantly with their devices. But that is not the hostels fault.

Better than most hotels especially for the price. Without devices you have to socialize more.

I had a problem finding you. I traveled at night and ended up in Norwood.I was traveling on my motorcycle alone.I drove by because there was no lighting on the sign that is set-back from the road. There was no lighting on the sign on the building either .So,, I eventually found you after turnig back from Norwood, carefully slowing down and searching you out. And thanks to Rae for waiting up for me and helping me. SHINE BRIGHT LIGHTING ON THE SIGN PLEASE Suggest a chair in the room.

There was nothing to dislike.

This hostel is of a very high standard. It’s spotlessly clean everywhere. There are beautiful areas to relax and the bar area is fun. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The dorms rooms were spotlessly clean and en suite bathrooms were beautifully presented.

There was nothing I would complain about.

Beautiful hostel with high standards. More like a hotel. Very reasonably priced in this very expensive area. Spotlessly clean. Mixed dorm room was of a high standard and the en suite bathroom was spotless. Little bit of a drive to Telluride but worth it due to the reasonable price.
